This is a fantastic apartment at the bottom of the Rue Mouffetard. The apartment is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean and makes you feel right at home. The kids loved the fact that they had their own room with bunk beds and even toys! The location really did make the stay for us - the square below has plenty of restaurants, bars etc. to pass time and feel like you live in the city. There are hardly any tourists around so you can get under the skin of the city. We had a couple of good meals in the restaurants nearby and the shops in the Mouffetard offer everything you need for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Christophe was great and offered great advice on restaurants and what to do with the kids which was great! We mainly used the bus (27) which is a great route to give you a cheap tour of the main sights. A taxi fare from downtown is reasonable so even with young, tired kids it's easy to get around from the flat. All in all, top place!
We are a family with two small children and stayed in Christophe's apartment for three nights. We had a great time and it was a lovely apartment in a fantastic location. I would say it is particularly good for families as there is a child's bedroom with bunk beds and some toys. Everything was clean and Christophe was there to meet us and was extremely friendly and helpful. There are loads of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants within a five minute walk. Definitely recommended.
Christophe was an excellent host. Totally relaxed about our late arrival time and always very responsive. The flat was a perfect home from home. Quite charming, with all the amenities you might need and very close to the Metro. It is three flights up so if you have mobility issues it wouldn't be ideal but otherwise perfect. It even has a piano!
My family of four was in Paris for four nights and loved our stay in the apartment. It was a charming and clean third-floor walk up - a great place to return to in the evening after a day of sightseeing. It is in a bustling neighborhood, so with windows open (it was hot when we visited) there was a good amount of street noise. This did not bother us, as we were typically pretty tired after long days out and about. It was a 15 minute walk to the Luxembourg Gardens and super accessible via the Metro to all parts of the city! Christophe also had great suggestions on hand for other things to do that we might not have discovered on our own. The neighborhood had so much to offer. The corner market had fruit and vegetables for sale each day, as well as restaurants, bakeries, wine shops, fromagerie, and more. A supermarche was nearby for other types of groceries as well. It was a delight to eat off his grandmother's dishes :) Christophe was a wonderful host! He was pleasant and responsive when we had any questions. For example, we had to print boarding passes and he directed us to a nearby copy shop. Even with our limited French, we did quite well. Directions to the apartment are in multiple languages. If we ever return to Paris, we would definitely stay here again!!
