An pristine super king size room with luxurious modern en-suite, pleasant views of the garden and river. Finished to the immaculate standard you would expect from the most luxurious accommodation.

The space

Ravenstor is one of our two rooms both of which have views of the garden and river. They are of a luxury standard with antique furniture, cotton bedding and tea and coffee facilities.

Cressbrook is a double bedroom with many interesting features and also has its own en-suite bathroom. £75 per room per night.

Guest access

Guests will have access to their beautiful en-suite room, the dining room (with original stone fire place and log burner), a downstairs lobby & WC and of course the gardens with riverside seating and private parking.

Interaction with guests

We are very friendly and always available to help. Bernard is Derbyshire born and bred so has very extensive local knowledge which he is happy to share, and he is often available to lead guided walks.

Other things to note

I am a Cordon Bleu chef and a specialist in gluten free cuisine, so I am confident you will be more than happy with your breakfast. Whether you choose traditional English or continental, and if you have a food allergy or intolerance, all ingredients are locally sourced and of the highest quality.

Picnics are available if ordered in advance, both walker style and luxury hamper.

A beautiful location and house. The room with ensuite was a great place to feel spoilt with great quality furnishings and thoughtful details to make me wish the stay had been more than one night.

Wonderful location - beautiful walks right from the door through the dales, lovely garden to sit and relax in. Great hosts - thought of everything, breakfasts wonderful and leisurely, easy to chat to and lots of good local advice. Best bed! So comfortable and amazing pillows - didn't want to get out of it! My husband never sleeps well when we are away but he did here! Will definitely plan to return if our babysitters would survive another weekend!

I stayed with Nicky and B for three nights when my mum was visiting from abroad, and had a wonderful time! The room was very comfortable and spacious, with a great view of the garden and river outside. The bed was super comfortable, and we loved the fresh breakfast each morning! Nicky and B were very thoughtful (e.g. had the heating on the first morning since my mum had just arrived from the tropics, although it was summertime) and gave us some great suggestions for good walks and other things to do in the Peak District. The only slight downside was that there was no phone signal and the WiFi was sometimes slow and patchy, but everything else about the stay was great!

Super couple of days stay. Our host supplies a flask of milk straight from the refrigerator for your coffee/tea, not that long life stuff. That is the level of detail our hosts provide. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

Nicky has a great location in a beautiful area of England. Her and Bernard are delightful people who are a pleasure to meet. We loved the accomadations. Nicky provides everything you need including an awesome breakfast. We wish we would have stayed longer to explore more of the area. It is so beautiful.

A beautiful bolt-hole for those looking to get away from it all. We stayed in the king-sized room and it has been furnished to an exceptional high quality. The bed was so comfy, it was one of the most amazing sleeps I've had in ages. The hosts, Nicky and Bernard are warm and welcoming and on hand to answer any of your questions or provide suggestions on activities, places to eat etc. The breakfast was delicious and sitting in the dining room, you are made to feel at home. Really, you couldn't ask for a better place to stay, especially if you are looking to explore this stunning area. I, for one, cannot wait to visit again.
