Our renovated two bedroom apartment respires with an old Zagreb spirit. The place is set up with an antique furniture and gives atmosphere of old Upper town. We named it Palace Apartment because the apartment is in the old building which is next to the Jelacic Palace.

The space

The apartment consist of the two rooms, bathroom and a kitchen. Smaller room is suitable for a couple (double bed) and the bigger room consists of one bed.
Rooms are clean, modern decorated with old furniture and comfortable beds.
The bathroom consists of sink, shower and toilet.
Kitchen is newly renovated (April 2017)-we didn't have it before. It looks old fashioned but cute with only basics in it like sink, fridge the cooking place and dishes. There's also a table with chairs in it-dining place.
The apartment is in the old part of the city called Gornji Grad (upper city) in the very old building from 18th century... but renovated in 2012.
The apartment is on the ground floor; building possesses three apartments.
Gornji Grad is very romantic place of the city with the most of important edifice in Zagreb like Sabor (Parliament), Government of the republic of Croatia, 3 churches, four museums: Historical Museum, Museum of the city of Zagreb, Biological Museum, Museum of the broken relationships... the two galleries very important for the Croatian culture: Meštrović Gallery and Klovićevi Dvori....other small galleries. Kamenita vrata- the entrance to the Gornji Grad from the eastern side of the upper town are touristic popular place because Mother Mary of Stone Gate is the Guarduan of Zagreb city....Across the apartment is the most popular restaurant in Zagreb- Didov san (traditional food). The apartment is surrounded by a little coffees and nice walking paths from behind side.
Everything of just said is a minute or mostly five from the apartment.
Gornji Grad is very quiet place at the evening also during the day and also very romantic.
The main square of the city -Trg bana Josipa Jelačića is 7 min from the apartment.
The place has a central heating, you will not get cold.

The best restaurant in Zagreb is just accros the place.

The building is very old. Due to the City office of protection of historical object the main door of the building are very old with the little bit bigger funny key.
The bathroom is separated three steps from the rooms and through that little passage passes only three persons from the first floor.
It's an old construction and that's the way it is.
When only one person comes- we only allow sleeping in bigger room in one person bed without using double bed in other room.

We had a wonderful time at Mirta's apartment in Zagreb. Would absolutely recommend this place - it is bang in the centre, the location could not be any better! Yet there is parking inside a gated yard/patio area, perfect! The place is beautifully furnished, you can see a lot of small details, also there is a lovely history, given that the flat used to be a legal practice. Would definitely recommend!!

We stayed for a night at Mirtas place. It's very nice, clean, and comfortable. It is located in the old city. Hence, perfect for exploring the city. Mirta and her brother (who showed us the apartment) are very nice and responsive.

I had a wonderful stay at Mirtas apartment in Zagreb. Before I arrived Mirta gave me easy directions on how to get there. Once there Mirta made me feel very welcome. The apartment is located in the upper town/historic centre of Zagreb, close to everything that Zagreb has to offer. The apartment was clean and spacious. Would more than recommend Mirtas apartment to anyone visiting Zagreb.

Mirta's place was great. I've been to Zagreb a number of times, but never stayed in the upper town before. Mirta's flat is perfect for exploring both the upper and lower part of the city. As for the flat itself, everything is exactly as described -- it's spacious, comfortable and tucked away on a quiet street without much noise or bother. And Mirta was a gracious host -- excellent communicator, and even was willing to pick up from the airport despite a very late inbound flight on my part.

The apartment is absolutely lovely. The photos really do not do the place justice: the bedroom is a comfortable space separate from the living room, and although there is no kitchen, the little electric stove-top, fridge and utensils mean you can do self-catering. The bathroom is across the hallway, but this was no problem at all as the groud floor was effectively ours. You could not ask for a better location. Being within the old city, there are a whole bunch of museums nearby, as well as plenty of cafe bars and a fruit and veg market a short walk away. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.

Brilliant experience and a great apartment with lots of character just a two minute walk from some of Zagreb's best attractions and the best views. Our host met us and was genuinely helpful (unlike many of our 'hosts' in Croatia who were fine, but had loads of apartments and employees). There were lots of maps, tourist guides and a few English books as well when we visited. We can honestly say that this apartment is even better than advertised if you are looking for a pied-à-terre in Zagreb. The apartment is in a beautiful old building but is very newly finished, with lots of lovely touches. There is some really beautiful furniture and the bed is extremely comfortable (don't get put off by the photograph, the bedroom is not tiny, the bed just fits nicely into an alcove). The shower room is just off a shared hall (we were there for three days but never bumped into the neighbours) and has all new fittings and is nicely finished. There is a little kitchenette area in the large living space where you can make a cup of tea, chill some food or make a bowl of pasta on the hot plates. 10/10. If we ever return to Zagreb, this is where we'll be heading.
