A purpose-built lodge/bunkhouse designed for mountain biking (MTB), walking and outdoor activities set in the foothills below the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) bordering Cwmcarn MTB area and near Bike Park Wales. Sleeps 12 in 3 bedrooms with a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Nestled in a small valley on Mynydd Maen with stunning views and with direct access to the mountain for walking and biking. Located on a small historic family farm making award-winning Welsh cider.

The space
As a purpose-built space for outdoor activity, the bunkhouse has everything you need for a group getaway. The accommodation is designed as a large social space with a wood burner and fully equipped kitchen. The dining table sits 12. There is full gas central heating throughout the property. Each bunk room has 4 bunks each bunk having its own power supply for charging phones and dedicated storage.

There is a secure storage/workshop for mountain bikes incorporated into the building that includes a workbench (with bike clamp), power and a bike wash down area. Next to this is a laundry room where wet and muddy gear can be left before hitting the showers. In the bathroom, there are two toilet stalls and three shower stalls with rainheads.

There is seating outside the bunkhouse with a table and benches. The accommodation is on the grounds of Hallets Cider farm and guests can take advantage of the outdoor areas including the adjacent area including the outdoor cooking area.

Blaengawney Farm is high in the Welsh mountains and has beautiful views of the forest and valleys. The house is supplied with fresh spring water from the Welsh mountains. Our home is on the edge of the forestry and you can cycle or hike to Mynydd Twin-glas or Mynydd Maen straight from the farm. Our farm is a short drive to great mountain biking sites including Tirpentwys Trails, Cwmcarn Forest and BikePark Wales. The MTB Cafall Rock Garden loop is on our doorstep.
