Nathalie was a very welcoming and communicative host. The apartment is light and spacious. It's in a nice block in a fantastic location at the end of the main shopping street in St Jean de Luz. The beach is five minutes walk and there's a park just up the road. We walked from the station, which took about 15 minutes. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed, including plenty of equipment for our toddler. There's a supermarket just across the road, and a Monoprix underneath the building, so everything you need is nearby.

Everything went smoothly finding the flat and meeting Nathalie. The flat is very central, spacious and light. It is on the 5th floor but there is a lift from the 1st floor at the back of the building, so there is a bit of lifting and carrying to get there. There is a very good Carrefour express 100 metres away, but the apartment is well stocked with all the basics, so you only need to buy fresh stuff. The bedding Nathalie provided for us was wonderful.( including a linen sheet). We loved the apartment, and apart from the lack of WiFi, which we knew about when we booked, we would recommend it to anyone. The beach and the old town are both 5 minutes walk away , and there is free parking 5 minutes the other way.

Nathalie was very accommodating as to our check-in time. The apartment is very spacious and clean, with all the amenities you could want, including a full kitchen with plates, cooking equipment and utensils. The kitchen had a lot of spices, coffee filters, even coffee, tea, sugar, oils, and many small items that would facilitate your cooking your own meals. The location is perfect for downtown St. Jean de Luz. It's a beautiful vilage. The building is modern, safe, with a locking front door and an elevator up to the fifth floor, which is where the apartment is situated. The windows are huge and there is lots of light. One bedroom holds a queen size bed, with lots of closet space, and the very large living room has two fold=out (click clack) couches that are very comfortable. A wrap around terrace is nice to sit out and watch the sunrise. A busy road is below, but that is to be expected anywhere you stay in St. Jean de Luz. There is a small TV in the living room. There is a separate bathroom from the water closet. The bathroom has a power outlet, sink, tub with handheld sprayer, so no actual shower. The beach is about three blocks away and is a gorgeous, fine-sand beach with easy-to-rent lounge chairs, tents and umbrellas. The apartment does not have wifi, but there a five or six spots in town that offer free wifi. There is a large supermarket (Carrefour) directly across the street (in the basement of an adjacent apartment building so that the charm is preserved) and there is a Monoprix next door. Parking on the street is metered, except at night, and you can park overnight on the street if you can find a place. Otherwise, there is a free parking lot about 200 meters away. The town is absolutely beautiful with many meandering streets oozing with French and Basque charm. So many restaurants, shops, bars, and don't miss a game of Jai Alai about a mile away. There is a fabulous, large public park about a block and a half away which has wifi access. When we were there we stumbled across a delightful classical music recital on a bucolic late summer evening.
