Spend your days visiting Provencal villages and tasting the wonderful Rhone Valley wines come home with your goodies and enjoy sunset on the rooftop terrace. Charming small house on 4 levels. All amenities . Kitchen, fully equipped and bathroom with shower on ground level. Living/Dining area including TV and WiFi on level 1 including a canape/double bed. Bedroom on level 2 with staircase providing access to a rooftop terrace.

The space

Living here which I do most of the year, I enjoy the proximity of the centre of the village, no car needed. Ste Cecile has all the amenities you will require to live comfortably and for most of the year has many village activities. The house is warm, cosy and welcoming and eclectically furnished .

Guest access

All areas of the house are available to be used. Be aware that this is a townhouse which opens directly onto the street and has no back entrance.
There is always plenty of space to park a car just across the road from the house.

Interaction with guests

I am available, if you require, to welcome you and help with any ideas or information about the area and possible activities you may need.

The neighbourhood

Ste. Cecile is a small village of about 2500 inhabitants. The great thing about it though is that although small and friendly it has all the amentities of a much larger, busier villlage. There is a wonderful Market on Saturday mornings until about 1pm. We have 3 boulangeries, 3 banks, 3 bars, 5 or 6 restaurants, wine cellars, 2 mini supermarkets, flower shops ,dress shops , a post office, doctors, dentists ,a pharmacy. All of this is accessible ,within 200 metres, from the house. We also have other charming villages North, South, East and West within 5 or 6 kilometres.
There is a booklet in the house with ideas of things to do, areas to visit and places to eat and drink.

Getting around

You would be better to have a car if you are staying here to make the most of holiday. There are charming villages and endless vineyards and cellars to visit. Going further afield you have Mt. Ventoux and Les Gorges D'Ardeche amongst many other amazing places to visit.
There is a bus which services the village which connects you to Orange and Bollene. It goes every few hours . Taxis are available but you would probably need to book.
There are a few TGV's daily which stop at Orange. You can also rent a car in Orange.

Other things to note

This house is on 3 levels so if you have mobility issues it is probably not the house for you. It is an authentic village house built around the 1850's.

The house is not suitable to use for a party and I would not want guests to use it for this purpose.
It is not really suitable for pets either but maybe a small house trained dog would be OK.
