Charming cabin with open views of the ocean and a large field. The room features high ceilings, a spacious private deck and a new queen bed. There is guest access to two common rooms, including a library/game room and a coffee/tea room

The space

This cabin is part of The Lincolnville Motel, a recently refreshed classic Maine Motor Inn featuring six guest cabins and four motel rooms. All cabins and rooms have ocean views. The design is clean and minimal, with the goal of creating a place to unplug, unwind and enjoy quality bedding.

Guest access

The property is nearly four acres of tree lined open field with views of Penobscot Bay. Guest have access to the outdoor swimming pool, a charcoal grill, lawn games, and a main building featuring a coffee/tea room, a library room and more decks.

Interaction with guests

There is usually motel staff around in the morning and late afternoon and we are happy to answer any questions, provide recommendations and help you enjoy your time here.

Other things to note

Children are welcome at the motel, but younger ones will need to be closely supervised as this is an older property with a few obstacles and potential hazards. We do not have cribs or cots available, but you can just fit a travel crib in the cabins . The cabins do not have bathtubs, just a standing shower. Pets with responsible owners are most welcome as well.

This was an amazing Airbnb. It’s only minutes from Camden (which was fantastic to explore) and it’s in such a nice spot. The cabins were beautiful and we will definitely be returning. There are no TV’s, instead they have turntables and a nice vinyl collection to choose from. Along with that, their library is great and the staff is so nice. Super would recommend!!!!

This was a really nice place but it is just a little cabin with a bathroom and a porch. The main white living room in the photos are not where you will be staying but is a common room for all guest to share. Overall the place was very clean and the host was very accommodating. I do recommend this place especially for a little quiet getaway.

I want to tell everyone to stop what they're doing and book a stay at the Lincolnville Motel. It is so well thought out, down to the last detail. I'm a design nerd, so I really enjoyed the simple yet bold Scandinavian inspired decor. The beds are comfortable and so clean, the pillows are lovely, there are fresh flowers in the bathroom and a ridiculously fun library of culinary books to entertain yourself with. Not to mention a unicorn to float on in the perfectly temperatured pool. It's like Wes Anderson and Ikea had a perfect little Maine baby. The location is in perfect distance to downtown Camden and Belfast, too. Can't wait to return!

My name is Alice Amory. I am the owner of The Lincolnville Motel. I was born in Portland, Maine in 1979 and raised in Camden, Maine. I moved to New York City when I was 18. I returned to Midcoast Maine two years ago after spending the last several years in culinary school and working as a professional line cook in several fancy Manhattan restaurants. I bought this motel in April 2015 because I wanted to create the type of place I would want to visit.
