There are not enough words to describe how happy I am for staying at Maria's house. Going to Chiapas for the first time was my birthday trip and I had no idea what to expect. I booked her house 2 days before and she was on top of everything. She gave me directions but I didn't want to get lost so Maria sent the family chauffeur to pick us up from the airport. My friend and I paid him instead of the taxi and it was worth it because that 1hr drive was super short. We talked about the history of Chiapas, the places to visit and most important the food. My friend and I were so blessed to be able to stay with Maria and her family because they treated us like family not strangers. If you stay with her ask her about Mr. Ulises and Mr. Jose services, they have their own tour agency. The same price your going to pay at any other agency you will pay with them BUT private (they pick you up and drop you off at the house). We reserved their services for the days we stayed with them and everyday was an adventure and I will NEVER forget the experience we had. Thats why I'm going back again to finish visiting Chiapas, such beautiful state.

A wonderful house with a gorgeous garden, all just a 20 minute walk away from the centre of San Cristobal. We had an extremely comfortable stay and Maria and family were very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. Worth noting is get supplies when you're in town-there are some small tiendas near the house, but their opening hours are extremely sporadic, so best to be prepared!

Maria and Antonio were the perfect hosts. Despite my arrival late one night, Antonio and Maria took the time to give me a map and show me where everything was in town and other wonderful suggestions for the area. As well, Antonio made me some dinner using vegetables and fruits straight from their garden! The room was exactly as described, clean, spacious and with a private bathroom, and windows looking out to the blossoming garden. The house is an easy 20minute walk into the centre of town, this was great as it meant at night it was super peaceful and quiet to sleep, and it felt somewhat local. One night I spent an hour or so listening to a band playing at a Mother's Day house celebration, while watching the local kids play on the street! For a couple of nights I got to stay in the cabin house (a separate cabin in the back garden of the property—which is a separate Air BnB listing they have), which is an amazing option if you want to be a little more separate from the house, and have your own kitchen and living space etc... All in all a truly wonderful, lovely stay, muchos gracias Maria y Antonio.

Marias place is lovely. The best bed in Mexico in a delightful house in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed our 20 minute walk each morning down the hill to the centre of town. At the end of the day it was lovely to come back to the beautiful home of this friendly welcoming family

The family are really nice and helpful. They let us in and let us take a shower when we arrived early. They gave us a map and explained the city. The house is big and has a nice garden. It is not so far from the centre but not really close either. You can always walk if you like (20-25min) or take a taxi. The stay was very good but a couple of things bothered us a little bit. In the shower and in the room there are problems with ants. Aswell when the cleaning lady wasn't there for the weekend it was quite messy in the kitchen with food everywhere so we wouldn't been able to cook. When she came back it was fine again.

We enjoyed our stay with Maria . She made us feel like part of the family. The house and gardens were very nice and it was nice to be a little distant from town. The neighbourhood was friendly, everyone said Buenos Dias as we walked by.
