We loved our stay here. The children particularly liked playing in the pool in the very pretty and well-maintained garden. Asih was a great host and made us feel very at home. She helped arrange for our children to attend her daughter's school one morning, helped with booking cars and tours, took us to the beach and market and answered all our questions. The bamboo house is dark compared to European standards, but it has everything you need. It's in a lovely location, tucked away in the host's garden with a view of the pond, coconut trees and paddy fields beyond. The sound of scooters can be heard most of the day and most of the night, and the call to prayer is loud here. Asih is a good cook. Breakfast was included in the price but everything else has a small charge (including laundry and fresh juice drinks). We ate our meals under the roof of the main house and chatted with Asih. You'll need to hire a scooter (Asih has two at a reasonable daily rate) to get around here. The beach is an easy drive away. There are many warungs and street stalls to eat from near the house, and a restaurant at the end of the road, but most of the eating options are down by the beach and in the town. Asih is happy to cook evening meals too. Be warned that even though Pangandaran is billed as Java's premier beach resort, it's not clean (compared to U.K. standards). The waves look great for surfing and there's a beach patrol service, but the dark brown sand is blighted with trash.

We both enjoyed staying in this simple 'villa in the garden'. It is a few minutes away from the main beaches which is quite good at the weekend when there are large groups of visitors in Pangandaran. Asih very kindly met our car at the bus station so we weren't lost finding the property. We both enjoyed a swim in the pool and swinging in the hammock on the porch!

We had a geat time in Pangadaran at the villa with Manfred and Asih. They are so friendly en helpful. The food is very good. They arranged for a kind and good guide and driver for our next trip. The house is beautiful, with view on the Rice fields. When you are sitting on the balcony you think you are in Paradise! I can certainly recommand this place to everybody! Whenever we will return to Java, we will certainly go back to them. Thank you Manfred and Asih for our enjoyable stay! Best regards, Maureen

A relaxing homestay style experience away from the main area of Pangandaran. Aish was a delightful hostess who, to our pleasant suprise, arranged our pick up/transfer from the bus terminal  and cooked tasty local food for us on request. The original villa was well equipped and comfortable with lovely views over the established gardens & fishpond. The motor scooter tour to the Green River & Green Canyon was a highlight. We stayed for 2 nights but an extra night in this location would have been ideal. Great service and a fantastic stay. Thank you for hosting us.

This place is paradise! Traditional (but solid) bamboo house surrounded by nature, and an amazing house with pool of Asih and Manfred to enjoy. Everything is in a great state, spatious and clean. Extra compliments to Asihs services, she can answer and help with any question (transport/massage/cooking/tour booking etc) which made our stay absolutely relaxed! Perfect base to visit the magical Green canyon and Green valley (with DinDin). I can truly say this is place is worth it!
