Escape to the Lake District Mountains, a unique, tranquil getaway at the foot of Helvellyn, 2km above Ullswater, up towards Striding Edge. Mountains tower above the hut, watching over our guests these Birkhouse Moor and Sheffield Pike with views of the Angle Tarn Pikes & High Street. ,Situated on the side of the Glenridding Beck, which is perfect for morning dip. The beck can be heard both outside and in, & relaxing and therapeutic for mind, body and soul.

The space
Single/double duvets on offer for either Single, twin or double bed arrangement - PLEASE REQUEST DUVET BY MESSAGE - Duvet with cover is £10 extra, and you will be charged accordingly - Sheets and pillow/pillowcases provided, its just the duvet/duvet cover you need to pay extra for (for all bookings placed after 15th December 2023). Doorway into kitchen space and further doorway into toilet area. Double glazed french doors, lead onto decking area for amazing mountain & river view. Fully insulated ceiling for a cosy space. Outside table / chairs / fire pit for your use. Open access land allows access to the Glenridding Beck for your dip.

Guest access
Full access to all areas of the Hut, and private use of small grass garden Garden not yet private as need hedge to grow! Current access to Helvellyn Hut is via a small gravel path.

BEDDING NOTE: Sheets/pillows provided. duvet(s) is extra £10 on arrival. Please state in your request if you would like Single, Twin or Double sheets & if you require a duvet(s). Cash or card accepted.

WI-FI…. Does not work in the hut, but 20 paces away towards my house you can get the wi-fi. (Vodafone 4g in hut) There is outdoor table/chair nearer the house to sit and enjoy wi-fi with an incredible valley view.

TOWELS NOTE: towels provided are small and useful, but NOT bath sheets! Bring your own if you want big ones!
