This unit is in a four unit complex, two on the bottom and two on the top. This unit is on the top. Its high ceiling and numerous windows bring in abundant natural light making the home feel light and airy. The living room has a bay window giving the room a cozy feel.
I've owned this complex since 1999 years. I'm very choosy as to who I select as tenants so they are excellent tenants, courteous and quiet.
Enjoy charming backyard with lush greenery. The tenant below is one of the managers who maintained the grounds and gardens. He has quite a green thumb and passion for gardening. You're welcome to enjoy the beauty of his labor of love.
Interaction with guests
I do not live in the unit or in the complex. You will have complete access to the whole apartment, privacy and freedom to make yourself at home. But I've arranged it so that there's assistance should you need it.
On site assistance - the tenants below in unit #4, James Thomassen and Lynda Burgess, are the onsite property managers/contacts. They are friendly, considerate and helpful. They maintain the home by cleaning and restocking after each stay. Feel free to reach out to them should you need assistance about the home itself or where items are kept. Home is on a tree-lined street with mostly small, charming well loved homes and well-maintained multi-unit apartment buildings.
Walk to dining and quaint businesses - including multiple coffee shops, Chipotle, sushi restaurants, Schurra's Chocolate Shop, Subway, pizza, many locally owned restaurants serving various kinds of ethnic foods, Whole Foods, and CVS Pharmacy.
IMPORTANT: There's reserved parking for your unit for one car in the back of the building; the 2nd stall from the left, marked by the number 2.
Parking on the street requires permit. Please do not park on the street. Parking patrol is vigilant about giving parking ticket. Fine is $61. Guest is responsible for any parking violation.
There's free parking that does not require permit on the cross street called The Alameda. It's 1/2 a block north of the home.
Bus stops within walking distance.
Caltrain Station is two blocks away - Diridon Station.
Downtown San Jose is a 5 minute taxi/Uber ride away.
Two blocks from the San Jose Arena/SAP Center.
Three blocks from laundro-mat.
Other things to note
There is no physical key to enter the unit. Access is via a combination lock on the front door. A code will be provided to you shortly after booking. Each guest is provided a unique code.
We cannot accommodate check-in after 10pm.
Longer term bookings (3 weeks or more) - cleaning by our housekeeping crew is required after the 2nd week (general cleaning of bathroom, kitchen, vacuuming, dusting and linen change). Additional Cleaning fee of $65 per cleaning applies.
Complimentary laundry drop off and pick-up service - We will drop off and pick up at a professional laundry facility. Guest pays for cost of cleaning charged by laundry facility.
No smoking please on the inside of the home. Smoking outside is permitted. Please use ash trays provided outside the home.
No excessive noise after 10pm per San Jose City Noise Ordinance.
PLEASE TURN OFF AIR CONDITIONING UNITS WHEN YOU LEAVE THE HOME FOR THE DAY AND WHEN CHECKING OUT. THERE ARE 2 UNITS. One in the bedroom and one in the dining room.
