Great place to stay for a quick trip to Yosemite or Bass Lake, although I wouldn't stay again. Pros: well equipped, living room was nice, AC in bedroom, patio was great and communication from Renae was outstanding. Cons: far from Yosemite Valley, bed was very firm and landscaping could use some help (overgrown with weeds).

This cottage is the perfect place to make you feel as though you're coming back home after a long day of hiking in Yosemite. All of the fixtures and features that Rusty and Renae have provided have such close attention to detail that fit our family perfectly. Hands down, this was the best airbnb experience I've had so far. I recommend this lovely place to any couple or family wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of life for some serenity.

Yosemite is a very large national park, with a lot to explore and to see. Rusty and Renae's place provides all we need to get ourselves relax in the night and to get prepare for the park visit the next day. We enjoy it very much staying there. It is only about 22km drive from their place. And it is a place that is very quiet and peaceful. Rusty and Renae are very friendly and helpful, they asked us for our plan of visit when I booked their place, which is about 2 months upon my visit. They read through what you wanted to do and gives you suggestion and feedback. This is very important for the travellers in order to visit the place with the most sufficient time and effort. Me and my wife are really appreciate that!

The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we may have needed for our family. We appreciated the ease of getting in touch with Renae and the morning message informing us of forecast and any local events we might find interesting. The house manual is also a great source of potential activities for visiting families. We had a great time and appreciate the efforts made to accommodate the visitors!

We had a lovely couple of days at Rusty and Renae's place. The cottage is really well located for the south entrance of Yosemite national park. It was also very well equipped with everything we needed for self catering and had some really nice touches (e.g. Board games, good tv, nice outdoor seating area with BBQ). Rusty and Renae were very helpful and sent us lots of useful tips about the national park and surrounding areas. We'd definitely recommend a stay here!

Rusty And Renae User Profile

I have lived in this area since I was 9 years old (moving from Escondido, CA). My husband, Rusty, has lived in this area all his life. We met through friends and from there a great friendship grew. We were married October 2002. We love the mountains and all it offers; fresh air, clean rivers & lakes, beautiful landscape, & the never-ending places to be explored. We enjoy hiking, backpacking & using our 4WD truck on the back high-country roads. We purchased our property in 2012 for the towering cedar and pine trees, and the year-round Nelder Creek just down our lane. We are happy with our location & want to share it with you. We would love to have you to visit. ~ Renae Smith
