Dating back to 1700 this old pub is full of character.
We are a friendly pet loving household with large friendly dog and 2 Burmese cats. We are a 15 min walk from the station and 5 mins from town.
We are opposite a beautiful park and close to many good pubs. St Albans has plenty to offer and it is only a 20 min train ride to Central London .Your room is at the top of the house with very comfortable bed, beams and great views.Private bathroom is adjacent.

Shula was welcoming, friendly and helpful and made me feel very much at home. The bed was very comfortable, everything was clean and it was great to have a private bathroom and the top floor to myself. The house is lovely and in a great location and Johnny the dog and Bear the cat are super-friendly. I had a lovely time, Shula gave me loads of helpful local information and made sure everything was perfect. If I have the chance, I will definitely stay there again. Thanks so much, Shula!

We felt like at home and we received a lot of useful information about life in town. The room was perfect in all respect, and the bathrooms really nice and clean. Very nice breakfast too. Definitely recommended!

It was a great stay. Shula was very kind and accommodating and made us feel very much at home on arrival. We were offered cake, wine and tea. Just wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the lovely dog Johnnie, the lovely town of St Albans and lovely Shula and her kind and warm son. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in. Sumptuous in fact! I hope to go back again one day! Home from home! Thank you Shula. You are a very Kind special person!

A lovely house in the heart of St Albans. Harry was very welcoming, breakfast was available on the morning and we had a spare key so we could come and go as we pleased. A great place to stay if you fancy a trip to the lovely city of St Albans.
