I really do mean it when I give five stars for everything. I stayed for just a week and was extremely sad to leave! Julie was timely, friendly and notably quick with responding to AirBnb messages. Good points: - Location is utterly perfect. Metro and supermarket/grocery shops literally round the corner, as well as a real variety of lively and charming food/drink places nearby - plus, obviously, the Canal. I have stayed in Paris a few times and I found this location to be best of. Republique metro (with more lines than Goncourt) is 5 mins walk away. - The decor and layout of the flat. Really spacious, perfectly decorated. Lovely big windows. Cool in summer heat. Even the kitchen facilities/ kitchen ware were charming. Exactly as pictured. One point, for the sake of a balanced review, is that in the summer months when one keeps the windows open, it can get very noisey with passing motorcycles etc. Now, I have been very swiftly told by a friend that 'that's Paris for you!' as opposed to just this one flat. But if you are pathetically sensitive to noise like me, and awake to anything - do bear this in mind. I used ear plugs and that seemed to help. Guess I can't praise it for being a lively area whilst also demanding quiet! : )

We had a great stay in Julie's apartment. There were just the two of us staying and so there was ample room. The flat is very charming and clean and has all amenities required, including a powerful shower! The best thing about the flat was the location, it's so close to the canal and there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Plus a superb bakery nearby that bakes amazing croissants. We had a great stay in her apartment and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Thanks Julie!

We had a very nice stay at Julies apartment. Everything was according to what was discussed before our arrival. Julies friend Abdellah welcomed us and showed us around the apartment, he was also there when we checked out. Abdellah was very welcoming and above all flexible and punctual. The place was homely and comfortable (excellent shower!) with everything you need. The size of the place was just perfect for a family of four (2 adults, one 10 year old and an infant). The bed in the bedroom was comfortable with a firm mattress. Not sure how the sofa bed is since our 10 year old preferred to sleep on it as a sofa (without pulling it out). The apartment is ideally situated, both in terms of using the metro and walking. The neighborhood is lively and nice, with the Canal St. Martin very close. There are excellent bakeries close by as well as some large supermakets. Just a few yards down the street there are a couple of nice restaurants, a pizzeria and great Cambodian place where we ate once and took take away once (highly recommended). We did not have the chance to eat at the pizzeria but it looked like a great place. Across the street there was also a Vietnamese restaurant that I'm pretty sure is good (there was a line in front of it every night) but we did not have a chance to try out. We can most certainly recommend Julies apartment and would very much like to stay there again.
