Recently renovated and conveniently prepared for AirBnB.
Just across the street from the new Petrobras building (which reinvigorated the area) with a view to Cristo :)
10-15min to Carioca metro
10-15min to Sambodromo
10min to Arcos da Lapa
It has recently been refurbished and decorated and has a clean aspect. A beautiful view from the 16th floor, and you can clearly see Cristo Redentor and, during carnival, you'll see the lights of the Sambódromo.
- air conditioning in both bedrooms (not on living room)
- well equipped kitchen (be careful with the industrial super-powerful stove!);
- ice making on the fridge! :D
- dishwasher :D :D :D
- WiFi in all the flat;
- two complete bathrooms (one has two showers).
There are no facilities in the building
Interaction with guests
My friend, that lives in Rio, will be available throughout your stay and easily reachable by phone.
Other things to note
Rio is 110V
Common sense should cover most of it. Things that might escape "common sense" and I prefer to be explicit:
- no smoking anywhere in the flat (this includes the windows). You'll have to go outside the building for that, sorry;
- no pets.
I'm "globetrotting" my way around life…
Current goal is to brush up my French (je peux me deffendre mais avoir une conversation complex c'est encore beaucoup "challenging"…) so I end up spending a lot of time in between Quebec and France whenever work allows (I work on a 28x28 rotation). Particularly fond of the idea of cultural immersion and that's why I'm giving airBnB a shot. Used to like the Couch surfing concept and insisted using it until I finally convinced myself that the vast majority (I did meet/host some great people!) is there for the free accommodation. Though I appreciate the true "free-minded" people I also believe in hard work and accomplishments...
Will be blending skiing and skydiving (whenever the weather allows) together with my French-learning pursuit…
(I tend to abuse parenthesis sometimes…)
My flat in Rio is the closest thing I have for a "home". Since I travel so much for work (and quite a bit for leisure) I end up staying very little time around Rio and I decided to make the place available for AirBnB. The bottom line for this is: if you are renting the place it is very likely I'm away from Rio and you'll not meet me in person, sorry :(
But, a very good friend of mine helps me out on running this and she'll be there to greet you :)
