Tammy's house is the home I wasn't expecting to find in an alien country. Before my mother and I arrived, Tammy kept in touch with me and asked about any special needs we have to do with the breakfast she provides. I found that to be very thoughtful. What I didn't expect was the delicious goodies she whipped up for us every morning. Granted that one has to keep their in and outs of the house flexible according to Tammy's schedule of clients but she always made sure we knew of all the windows in her appointments and that if we would want to come back in the middle of the day aswel, she would immediately respond with when "the coast was clear". I am grateful to her for reprimanding my laziness about actually enjoying Toronto and made suggestions with excellent sightseeing spots that were within my budget and my interests. I would never forget the fact that Tammy took me to my first ever musical play which was in a quaint little Church. She gave me her extra ticket and took me to my first actual social event in a country that would hopefully be my new home. She also took me to her Trivia night at a lovely english pub, inspite of my confessing to my horrible GK. She gave me a glimpse into an "untouristy" Toronto and made me feel like a Canadian during those activities. The room is cozy...Mom and I took full advantage of the fridge and the microwave, which ensured that we could store food in case we didn't feel like stepping out in the evenings. The location is perhaps one of the best aspects of the listing as I was able to explore almost any part of the city through the subway, which is barely at an 8 minute walk, and a pleasant one at that. Tammy and I discussed many subjects and I found her knowledgable and eager to share her experiences, which always make connecting with one easier. I would recommend her house to anyone who's looking for a home instead of a cold hotel. I am grateful to her for making my first trip to Canada, a memorable one.

Tammy was a great host! Super friendly and accommodating, she even made breakfast (which was a very delicious surprise). Her place is in a great location, quiet but centrally located. It was perfect for a good night's sleep after a long day.

Friendly host, location was good if you use public transport. Bed was uncomfortable and there was a hottub above the room which made a lot of noise (24/7) and the host said it could not be switched of. Annoying when trying to sleep!!

Response from Tammy:
I am sorry that everything did not meet your expectations. Several other guests have commented on how COMFORTABLE the bed is, as you can see by reading back over other reviews. Maybe this just wasn't a good fit. Most other guest do not wake me at 7:30 on a holiday Sunday by talking loudly on their cell phones in my living room. Also, most guest appreciate it if I offer them a lift to the subway rather than demanding a lift to the airport. Most guests do not break a plant on their way out, although I am sure it was an accident. I hope you find hosts who are able to meet ALL your expectations.

Our stay at Tammy's place was very nice. Our first nights and days here in Canada, we landed late at night and Tammy was up to welcome us. The room is as lovely as shown in the photos, the overall cleanliness of the whole house is outstanding, breakfast is really good and, last but definitely not least, Tammy was always super kind and helpful and gave us some very appreciated hints to make our stay in the country much easier. Good experience, highly recommended... Thank you Tammy! :)

Tammy is a fantastic host! She is very helpful (she helped us moving out and drove us to our next accommodation!) and easy-going. She helped us with every question and had many recommendations on what to do and where to go in Toronto. Also, she invited us to a jazz concert (thanks again!), and she offered to take us to the art gallery and save money by using her season pass. Tammy is a psychotherapist and works at home, so you have to adjust to her schedule, because you cannot come in or go out during her appointments. We would recommend not to stay at home during sessions because you might hear her clients talking. The neighbourhood is very calm and save and has good traffic connection. There is a TTC station (Line 2 ‚Pape Station‘) nearby, there are laundrettes, hair salons, restaurants, banks, fitness centres, food markets and even a psychic ;) The room is as seen in the pictures and comes with a kettle, a small fridge and a microwave. You cannot use the kitchen, but Tammy provided us with dishes and cutlery when we needed them. Tammy serves a delicious breakfast every morning. Everything is very clean! Thank you, Tammy!

Tammy is a lovely host and the breakfast she makes is delicious. The room was clean and quite enough for 2 persons. Huge bathroom! The microwave in the room was very useful. While I was there the Wifi was good, just one or two times it didn't work. Tammy will tell you the best places to go around the city. Summing up, very nice homestay, highly reccomend it!
