The space
The Old Rectory built in 1858 is an ideal base to visit Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Cotswolds. Set in 1/3 acre overlooking farmland, the house is both tranquil , yet easily accessible to the local big towns and motorways. The spacious house and garden is quiet and secluded, close to many key arterial routes and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

The Lily room offers a spacious, high-ceilinged, light and airy family-sized bedroom with duel aspect stone-mullion windows overlooking the garden and also the Cotswold hills in the distance. There is a large double bed and a single bed with room for a cot. There is a separate luxury bathroom with roll top bath and a separate jet-tower shower. This bathroom is just along the hall and is usually able to be private and exclusive for Lily room guests. Check before if this is an essential element to your stay.


The spacious sitting room has a gothic stone open fireplace with double aspect stone mullion windows with views overlooking the garden. The study has an extensive library with bookshelves, CDs, DVDs, games including chess. There is a cinema-style screen facility in the study which has surround sound and can be made available at peoples’ request if they would like to relax in the evening with a film from a large selection.

The very large dining room seats 12 comfortably and this is where breakfast is served overlooking the garden.

Around the house are several shady terraces, all with tables and chairs. The house is set in its own grounds of 1/3 acre of gardens with extensive lawns.

Guest access
Guests have access to all facilities and garden space. Set in 1/3 acre, there is ample parking in the private courtyard area. The garden is mostly laid to lawn with charming features, including the original Victorian Well House, pond and orchard.

Other things to note
Many leisure activities are on offer locally, along with a host of excellent and inexpensive restaurants. Gloucester cathedral, Tewkesbury Abbey and Monpellier area of Cheltenham are all within a 15 minute drive.This is the real England and is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.
