About this listing

Beautifully maintained, vintage (50s-60s) row house in a great South Philly neighborhood near Broad St. Close to restaurants and shops, public transit, and the stadiums. It can sleep 6: 1 queen-size bed, 1 full bed, and a queen-size sleeper sofa.

The space

The house is about 80 years old and is very well maintained with some original features like ornate hanging light fixtures, hardwood floors, and a porcelain sink in the kitchen giving the house a unique, retro feel. There's a fresh coat of paint on all the walls and the house is kept very clean. There are 3 bedrooms - two of which have beds (a queen and full size) and one of which is furnished as an office/studio space. There's also a brand new West Elm couch in the living room with a queen size pull out bed. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans and a stove - all of which guests are welcome to use. The dining room has a table that seats four. There's also a private patio/garden out back with a table and two chairs.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the entire house, including use of dishes (please see house rules), refrigerator and washer/dryer in the basement.

Interaction with guests

Available via Airbnb messenger at all times.

Other things to note

The oven in the kitchen is an old fashioned model that requires using a match to light the pilot at the start of each use. Please message me before using so I can give instructions on how to use it correctly/safely.

The place is awesome. It's really charming and comfortable. We didn't get the chance to meet with Michael in person, but everything was just perfect. The only thing I regret was not staying there longer.

Michael's place was a great value. It's really close to downtown. Located in an old Italian neighborhood with great restaurants & bakeries. Michael was very attentive via messenger.

I'm very glad I chose Michael's apartment for my stay in Philadelphia. 1st. Michael was very easy to deal with, I didn't meet him in person but was very kind and reasonable in all requests. It was really a pleasure to discuss everything with him. 2nd. The house/apartment is very nice and comfortable, spotless clean and with all you may need for a short or longer stay. 3rd. Location. I ran the Philly Marathon, it was very easy to get public transportation on Sunday before 6 am. The subway station is very close. There are shops and restaurants nearby and the neighborhood feels very safe. I would definitely consider this place for my next visit to Philly

I live in Philadelphia. I really enjoy traveling and have lived abroad twice. My favorite things to do, in Philly or on vacation, are hike, bike, walk around neighborhoods, and try new restaurants.
