We loved staying with Beth and her husband! Theirs was the most generous welcome we've ever had from airbnb hosts. She asked what we liked for breakfast and provided it - an unexpected treat! (Especially after several hosts who omitted the second 'b' in airbnb!) We joined them for several other meals during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed visitting with them and their friends. The night we arrived they took us out for excellent burgers - so nice after flight delays got us there way later than we expected. They gave us a driving tour that evening that helped us get oriented. We got a good sense of where we could (and shouldn't) walk and how to get to public transportation safely. Theirs is a lovely neighborhood with both bus and streetcar stops a short walk away. Both got us within a few blocks of the Fairgrounds for JazzFest. Their home was a great getaway after lively (and rainy this year!) days at the Festival. The bed was comfy, shower was excellent (two key bits for me!) Room was sizeable, clean and quiet. They know their city well and they went out of their way to help us enjoy it. Their guidance and generosity enriched our stay inmensely.

Beth and Jim were excellent hosts. Extremely welcoming and gracious. Had fruit and muffins waiting for us when we got there. And went above and beyond what a host probably normally does using Air B&B. Gave us great suggestions of dinner/music spots in NOLA. I wish we had time to make it to there Thursday night trivia!! If I make it back to New Orleans in the near future I will defintely be staying with them again. Thank you guys!!!

Beth and Jim were gracious hosts. There was a two page list of helpful hints from where to walk to where to get take out food. There was fresh fruit (pears, plums and madarin oranges), coffee, toast and cornbread provided. There were two cats with great personalities. The location was perfect for riding our bikes to the fair grounds and the french quarter. Beth and Jim made us feel right at home in their lovely home. Thank you Beth and Jim.

Beth and Jim were wonderful hosts. They accepted our last minute request when our arrangements fell through. Their passion for their city is obvious. Much of our time with Beth and Jim were spent learning about their city, their experience with Katrina, and their perspective of how New Orleans has changed in the aftermath. We wanted to hear all about it, and they were really helpful! Staying with Beth and Jim was very much like staying with your folks; you're warmly greeted when you come in and they'll chat you up like old friends (or let you slink away to your room, if that's what you're looking for). They were extremely generous in their time, taking us to one of their favorite spots in the city and taking us grocery shopping for local items. Their room is very open, facing the front of the house, and gathers tons of light (which is kind of rough when you're hungover). Towels were provided to us as well as tons of great suggestions on places to visit, roads to take, and views to absorb. As a bonus, if you like cats, there's two adorable ones that like to visit with you!

Beth and Jim were very welcoming and easy-going as hosts. They called us before we arrived to find out when we were coming in and to let us know how to get in. They made all food in the kitchen available to us, and we ended up having coffee and breakfast there every day of our stay. We really had everything we needed there. The downsides were that we did not know they smoke, and they smoked on the porch right outside our bedroom window where the smoke wafted into the room. Since we are not smokers, this was unpleasant. Also, the house is okay - not particularly clean, but adequate for a short visit.

Response from Beth:
I really enjoyed you both being here. Terribly sorry about the smoke I did not realize it went near you. Wish you had said something! Next time we have nonsmoking guests I certainly will go out the back. Please stay again. The next time we want cooking lessons from your grandmother!
