The space

Every person who has seen this loft for the first time always says "WOW". Once you're here, you won't want to leave.

We are located on eight remote acres at 4000 feet elevation; yet close to Tubac, AZ.
This is AirBnB is loft so it is 12 feet in the "air" above the terrain and provides incredible 360 views of the interesting and varied terrain.

The loft is surrounded by 1000's of acres of open space and spectacular, really phenomenal views of the southern side of Wrightson and Hopkins in the Santa Rita Mountains.

Horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking right out the door.

This is a working barn and your horses are welcome.
Trailer hookup with electrical, sewer and pad included.

The all-wood loft has a comfortable bed for two and accommodates up to 6. Our loft is self-contained with a kitchenette, large porch, a bathroom that includes an antique claw-foot soaking bathtub, also entertainment and office areas with free wireless.

The large east porch has unobstructed 180 degree of the sky. and the numerous walkouts and porches in every direction are great for astronomical viewing. We are just a few miles and sit in the shadow of the Smithsonian MMT 16th largest telescope in the world. Kitt Peak is viewable from the Loft and huge telescope at Mt. Graham is a short drive.

Athletes would benefit from the 4000 foot elevation that quickly ascends to 9500 in 9 miles. Many 10 to 20% grades make an excellent training, environment, no traffic, great weather and our athlete support make this an excellent training camp.

We're just 5 miles off the road to Mexico. The Loft is a great place to stay before you cross the border. Regina and I are experienced Mexican travlers.

Romance, artists, writers, readers, photographers, astronomers, athletes in training would all find our Loft perfect, inspiring and amazing

The loft sits atop the barn and offers incredible views from the many windows and walks outs. The natural light at day is perfect, the clear dark skies are awesome for stargazing while sitting on the large barn porch.

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this place is. If you're thinking about booking it - just do it! We're a couple from the UK and have been travelling for the last two months, staying in many Airbnb's but this is without a doubt the best we've ever stayed in! The loft is beyond beautiful, so thoughtfully decorated and full of books, movies, cds and games if you can tear yourself away from the gorgeous views and watching the wildlife (we saw deer, rabbits, hummingbirds, lizards). George was a wonderful host and just so friendly, we loved meeting him and his family and sharing a bottle or two of wine on our first night! We will remember this place for many years to come and hope we get to go back one day. Thanks George!

This is the best Airbnb I’ve experienced thus far. The country theme decor has a sense of charm that makes me smile. The property owners are sweet and supply the most thoughtful accommodations making your stay as cozy as possible. The view from the loft is beautiful any time of day but the night sky is guaranteed to leave your mouth agape. Definitely recommended.

Beautiful place in a peaceful setting. The posted description is understated, and it's now our all time favorite Airbnb. We'll definitely be back!

Tubac foothills loft is a great, quiet retreat. George was a most accommodating host. Every ‘room’ has a view. We loved the privacy, the views, the sounds of the desert, how clean the place was, how the kitchen was stocked. We felt very welcome and hope to return! We spent our early mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee (fresh ground beans) watching the sunrise. We even had the special experience of watching the harvest moon rise in the evening and watching it set in the morning. Take a deep breath, ahhh. Thanks George!

George's description and all the reviews are extremely accurate. It IS an exceptional place to get-a-way to. I am not exaggerating when I say it was VERY difficult to leave and I'm usually so ready to return to home to my own own bed, bathroom AND kitchen. This was not the case. In fact, it was almost impossible for George to get rid of me! This loft has everything you need and all at your fingertips (remotes for ceiling fans and air conditioning, books, DVD's and just about every kitchen utensil you could possibly think of). It is hardy and rustic yet refined. It is also very clean! Nice thirsty towels in the bathroom and soft linens on the bed. I enjoyed being able to walk around barefooted on the soft hardwood floor without my feet turning black (which happens frequently at hotel stays). The water that comes right out of the faucet was amazingly soft and pure. It was nice not having to pack a case of water. Wifi connection and speed all worked great despite feeling like you are way out in the middle of nowhere. My goal was to completely unplug BUT if you have to work and/or fire up the laptop, you won't have any issues. The balcony for star gazing is a huge bonus! If you are looking for solitude but can't live without all the creature comforts (like me) then I highly recommend George's loft.

We couldn't have asked for a better short getaway for some fun and R&R! George's place is like no other - the quiet, the views, the spacious loft, the comfort and the accessibility into town as well as some great trails - fantastic!! And to add to the perfection - dog friendly. My kind of place - my kind of guy! George is a great host - completely accomodating and available, respectful of privacy and up for fun and conversation. We plan on coming back over and over again!

Every one of the AirBnB guests I've hosted has been interesting and respectful. Really, AirBnB shows the best of humanity. As a host I know that if you want adventure I got it or if you want solitude, you'll rarely see me. Me? I worked for 35 as a high school teacher at …
