Relaxing cottage near the ridge of the Appalachians, only a few minutes' walk from the AT. Everything you could want for a quiet getaway from the city. Also, less than an hour's drive from Asheville. James was a welcoming and accommodating host. I stayed in James's place for two nights while my father hiked the AT, and we both enjoyed our stay very much.

Highly recommended for mountain hikers! Beautiful, quiet, walkable to the AT. The stream behind the house is peaceful. James is thoughtful and thorough.

Comfy and a great value! Amazing location and beautiful! Perfect for a quick hop onto the AT with breathtaking mountain views. The fireplace was lovely for some warming up after a hike or evening reading time. My sister and I were super comfy and ended up doing three hikes during or stay. We made use of the crockpot and made some veggie chili. My sister did some writing at the desk upstairs and we felt right at home here. We hope to be back as soon as possible.

This was a great weekend trip. Cabin was well kept and James provided instructions for everything. Great for relaxation or access to outdoor fun.

James' cabin was great, just as in the pictures. It was easy to find on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps and was toasty warm in the winter time. The wood stove upstairs was a great feature with plenty of wood in his shed. James was easy to deal with and check in/check out was a breeze.

James User ProfileJames is a superhost.

I've lived in Western North Carolina since 1993. I have owned this property listed on airbnb since 2001. My family has enjoyed this property for the past 15 years. I enjoy all that nature has to offer at this wonderful tranquil place. I own and stay in the small house that is located next to Into The Grey.
Hope you enjoy your stay.
