Beautiful, light and peaceful cottage quietly tucked off the Norman Road with its Art Galleries and cafes and only a few minutes walk to the beach. It is right in the heart of the new artists quarter with its fine eateries, retro cinema and cafe culture. The cottage has a peaceful walled garden where you can enjoy a quiet suntrap to read / write a book. Two doubles, one single and a brand new kitchen with large adjoining utility room.

Raphaella was a great host. We were warmly welcomed, shown around her lovely cottage and then left to enjoy ourselves. Some breakfast foods were kindly provided. The beds are supremely comfy. We strongly recommend staying here if you visit Hastings.

We had a lovely stay in the St Leonards Cottage. The cottage was very cosy and welcoming, very peaceful yet right in among the arty shops and cafes of St Leonards. Would definitely go back!

2 of my colleagues stayed at Raphaella's whilst conducting some work in the local area. The cottage was ideally located and a really nice place to stay after a long days work. Communication was brilliant and Raphaella was extremely helpful and amenable. Definitely recommend.

Not long returned from a great family holiday in St Leonards and Hastings. We didn't meet Raphaella, but she was extremely friendly and helpful on the phone. We were greeted by Christina, who is also a lovely lady and artist and was very helpful in settling us in, despite our uncertainty on time of arrival. We were very appreciative of the food and wine which was provided, great touch! The location of the property is perfect, just a street away from Norman road which is a really interesting street in St Leonards, and a minutes walk from the promenade. The cottage was comfortable, spacious and we loved the decor. Thank you Raphaella and christina :)

We (myself, my husband and our three girls - a four-year-old, and 20-month-old twins) had a lovely bank holiday weekend at the cottage. Raphaella was lovely and really thoughtful -leaving us basics like bread and milk, as well as wine for us, and colouring books and a bucket and spade for the little ones. The cottage itself is a great, very relaxing space. We loved the period features and the bright and airy feel of the place. Great renovation job - very sympathetic and tastefully done. Charming and understated. We also loved the area - it feels very arty and creative. There is an independent cinema nearby, and also lots of coffee shops and some fascinating antique/ bric a brac shops, and some nice galleries. The beach is very close by and we loved walking along the nearby promenade. Also loved the amazing smart TV! Great selection of stuff on Netflix to keep all of us amused in between trips out. What a beautifully-decorated property, well-stocked with everything you might need during your stay, and in a great location; a stone's throw from the seafront. We had a very relaxed stay, and Raphaella was the perfect host. Highly recommended!

Had a lovely weekend in Raphaella's beautifully refurbished cottage. The area was very peaceful although only a short work from the sea front and the restaurants and shops on Norman Road. Raphaella met us at the cottage, was very welcoming and also left provisions, including a bottle of wine. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a lovely sun trap rear garden with plum tree! This is a great location and would definitely make a return visit.

I live here on the south coast with my husband and two boys. Originally from London I moved here twelve years ago and love the people, countryside and culture of the town. In London I was involved in meditation and therapies and on coming here diversified into teaching pilates and remedial health.
We have recently totally refurbished this beautiful cottage which has a lovely atmosphere. It is in a great part of St Leonards, just near the art galleries, cafes and beach but you could just as easily retreat into the lovely walled garden which is a suntrap and oasis of tranquility. There is so much to do in this area and I will be happy to suggest an itinerary based on your interests.
