Fen Slodger Barn is a rural property situated just outside of Wigtoft village in Lincolnshire, six miles from the town of Boston.
Whether it’s a romantic getaway cosying up in front of the log burning stove, an active holiday walking or cycling, or a restful retreat relaxing in the wood fired hot tub or maybe just travelling for work, Fen Slodger Barn delivers it all.
The space
Fen Slodger Barn is surrounded by beautiful nature and wildlife providing a serene and tranquil setting that is perfect for relaxation. The accommodation itself is designed, with a mix of modern and traditional features that create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The barn is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a well-equipped kitchen with coffee machine and pods.
There’s a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven, induction hob and fridge freezer with a supply of ice cubes.
Tea, coffee and sugar as well as sandwich bags, bin bags, kitchen roll, foil, cling film and baking paper can also be found in the kitchen.
There’s also supplies of essential cleaning products to get you started such as laundry pods, fabric conditioner, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, antibacterial spray, cloths and tea towel.
The spacious bedroom has a king size bed with 100% cotton bed sheets a dressing table and plenty of wardrobe space.
The modern bathroom has a shower with Molten Brown toiletries, towels and hand wash and hand cream.

To complete the country life must haves there’s a multi fuel burning stove with smokeless coal, kindling and firelighters to get you started.
Outside there is a private driveway with ample free parking in front of the barn. To the rear of the barn there’s a gravelled terrace that is screened off for privacy where you’ll find a table and chairs, the wood fired hot tub and a fire pit area, this leads straight into the secure paddock which is wire netted all the way around so your furry family members will be safe running off the lead. This paddock is private and only used by the guests staying in Fen Slodger Barn.
And a covered outdoor area to store your walking boots and outdoor gear.
The barn is situated within the grounds of our property, so we are on hand if you need help with anything.

We have curated a self guided tour showcasing Boston’s best bits.
Available on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s £15 per person which includes maps, information and all entrance fees, a 10% charitable donation to the local Boston charity ‘Local Hope’ is included in this price, the charity helps to improve the lives of all the people in Boston as well as doing all they can to give back to our beautiful area.
This self guided walking tour guides you around Boston firstly visiting St Botolph’s Church known locally as ‘The Stump’ where you can climb the 209 steps up the tower to witness far reaching views across Lincolnshire.
Then wander around the historic market which has been in residence since the 12th Century.
Time for refreshments, we recommend a stop at The Greenhouse cafe for delicious homemade food and not to mention their award winning chilli jam.
In the afternoon visit the Boston Guildhall, this medieval building was built in the 1390’s and is home to artefacts and stories of Boston’s heritage and culture.
Lastly a short walk to the Maud Foster Windmill where you can explore this working windmill over 7 floors and maybe buy a bag of their flour to take home.
Please note that this self guided tour doesn’t include transport to Boston Town but does include all entrance tickets.

You don’t have to be a seasoned cyclist to enjoy a trip around Boston, the Lincolnshire Fens are as flat as a pancake which makes cycling suitable for all.
Join our local guide Kevin Clark who’ll tailor a personalised route around Boston and the surrounding countryside and accompany you making sure you get to see the best of the area.
You’ll stop for refreshments along the way to sample the local produce.
You’ll need to bring your own cycle and helmet etc, we have complimentary secure cycle storage and cleaning facilities on site.
