Private room, no street view, clean with poor lighting, good wifi signal. You have the house in total the common areas are yours, the bathroom is shared but always clean. Clothes can be washed for an agreed price at home.

The space

The accommodation we offer is very familiar, we always want to exchange cultures and experiences with the guests, we live my mom, grandmother my son and I, we are all ready to share and make it part of us from the moment they enter the house. We offer the best experience as a local, not as a tourist, we do not have the nicest room in the village but if the family is more welcoming, our offer is to share the Colombian and let yourself be pampered as guests and a member of the family. If they wish they can cook or go for a walk with us. We do not like people who just want to treat us like a hostel, hotel or a place where they only spend the night, so welcome what they want to be villaleyvanos and Colombians 100% for a little bit! Hugs

Guest access

Will have access to common areas like the two shared bathrooms, the balcony, the kitchen, the patio the room where there is a tv.

Interaction with guests

We usually relate a lot, we like spontaneous, kind, simple people who like the family atmosphere. We like you to share a good chat and good experiences from your country and your travels. We will all live together as one family

I hope a good compromise on the part of my guests we try to give the best to receive the best, we do not like that they smoke inside the house, they get drunk, they make a lot of noise when they arrive very late at night, they can only bathe once To close the doors carefully, double-lock the door, save energy, notify us if they are vegetarians, inform us that they eat regularly, leave the blankets folded

The place is much better than in the photos! The family is very kind as well~~It's just during the stay the family is always out so there is no breakfast haha. I thought there is though, due to what is said in the website. In all, the experience was still very nice.

I had a wonderful stay at Amy's. Her mother and grandmother were friendly and kind. My room had a window, a lockable door and a comfortable bed.

Amy and her family were wonderful hosts! The house was spacious, clean and very central to both the bus station and the Plaza. She was very inclusive and always invited me to activities hosted at her hostal or elsewhere. She went above and beyond. She was flexible and allowed me to stay an extra night after getting sick mid stay. I would definitely recommend Amy's house for all passing through Villa de Leyva.

The arrangement changed at the last minute and Amy asked if I would mind staying in her hostel instead of the house. So I don't have experience of staying in the house - although I was invited to have breakfast with Amy on my final morning. The location is good and quiet, and the hostel was clean, brand new and with a lovely garden - but do make sire you agree an arrival time with Amy beforehand otherwise you may not be able to get into the house.

Response from Amy:
i want the best for my guest, for this reason i thought that my hostel could be a good option, because that day my house was full (family come), the noise was terrible late at night and maybe she dont feel good with the situation, i offer she the best room in the hostel. but i understand that you would have liked my house and my experience, sorry about that vicky, hope the best for you

Amy and her family are really nice! They answer to all of your questions, they always smile and her son comes to play with you. For the women day I even received a candy. The house is outside of the center but it is only 3 minutes away.

Amy and her mother are great hosts who make a huge effort to make you feel wellcome! They are interested in their guests and care about their well-being. As mentioned elsewhere, the shower is among the best I've had in Colombia! Also, the location near the station and close to the center is a great plus.

I stayed two nights at Amy's home. There are 4 generations living in one apartment. The youngest is simon, amys adorable 2-years-old son. The family is more than welcoming and generische. They even gave me arepas and a fresh juice when i arrived in the evening starving. The next day I Did the hike to the laguna de iguaque and Amy's mum told me that I have to take the Bus at 7am. So she served me the breakfast really early at 6:15am. She also gave me some good advice What to bring. The whole family is really lovely and always in a good mood and I quickly felt like Part of them. They also Run a small but amazing hostel. I highly recommend to spend your time with Amy and her family. Before i left i had another coffee with them... Qué les vaya muy bien y gracias por su hospitalidad
