Secluded, comfortable, rustic summer house. Lovely surroundings. Unfortunately we got a puncture on gravel road to house and had to leave early to get the tyre repaired. Would have enjoyed more time here.

We liked the place although it was very hard to find and we succeeded after an hour thanks to previous review. We enjoyed the treasure hunting though, just make sure you don't see the squirrel/troll and turn right just before that! The cottage was very nice and cosy, the nature surrounding it was pretty amazing.

We didn't meet our host but she has a lovely summerhouse in a lavafield that we enjoyed staying in. It is very remote which is great for getting a feel for the true Iceland.

It was a good large house. Some food items were left by the previous guests which we had to throw away. The house was cold initially because the heating was turned off and it took some time to become warm. Other than that it was a nice place to stay.

Beautiful house in a lovely location, just make sure you have GPS as it was nearly impossible to find & the keys were in a different place to where we were told. Took us hours to find as we came after dark. Very nice clean house we even saw Summer Northern lights. Great kitchen but be aware that you will need to take linen as not even a tea towel or paper kitchen roll is provided for free. This seems common in Iceland to charge about €10 per person for linen which I think is expensive, but not providing tea towels or kitchen roll was a bit tight. But I would definitely recommend this place as the house itself was charming.

Cozy location with plenty of beds. In addition the the full sized master and two rooms with bunk beds there is a cool nook with a full sized mattress. Great secluded location on the way to the Snaelfellsnes peninsula.
