Sunnyside is aptly named, as this light and airy home captures the sun throughout the day. Centrally heated, with additional wood burning stoves, it is always warm and cosy. In fine weather, the garden is a delightful haven.
The rooms are warm and cosy, and have comfortable double beds, with warm duvets and good pillows. There is a lounge area with sofa in one bedroom, and a comfy chair in the other.
Guests share a well appointed bathroom, with walk-in shower, large bath, basin and toilet. There is an additional toilet on the ground floor.
Our kitchen is a focal point within the house, and a continental breakfast is served here, or on the patio, if you prefer. A further sitting area in the Loggia is available to our guests.
We have plenty of free, off-road parking. If you are planning a cruise, you may be able to leave your car on the drive, for a small charge. We can also offer you a lift to the port, by prior arrangement, included in the charge.
Interaction with guests
Although we work during the day, and some evenings, we will always make ourselves available to chat, wherever possible.
Other things to note
We are both musicians, and have students for lessons until 8pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings. If you play, we have a Steinway grand piano, which you may use by prior arrangement. Maybe you played as a child, or always wanted to learn. If so, why not book a piano lesson with Miriam, for whilst you are here, for an additional £25.
We are quiet and discreet and hope that our guests are looking for the same. No smoking anywhere on the premises please, and no eating or alcohol upstairs.
We have good broadband access but would appreciate it if you did not download films during your stay.
