Pea Cottage is a secretive, luxury cottage full of surprises. You're getting more than just a gorgeous place to hang out; the host has lined up a thoughtful selection of extras to make the most of your romantic break. These include a Prosecco Treasure Hunt, use of a tandem, an old fashioned record player, homemade "Scrum-Pea Cider", a choice of two walks and three hand-picked pubs to enjoy a memorable meal.
Pea Cottage is 5 miles from Stamford, one of the prettiest market towns in the country.

The space
The moment you arrive at Pea Cottage, you'll feel pampered, private and hidden from the outside world. This super-luxurious cottage is exceptional.

Overhead are beautiful honey-coloured beams, and underfoot is heated brick and oak flooring. The custom kitchen is very high end, and no matter what you're cooking, it always tastes nicer if it comes out of a posh Aga!
With the dining table nearby, you can dim the lights, play some vinyl, and you'll have the most intimate dining experience to remember.

Fancy a night in? Cuddle up in front of the log burner and binge watch TV over the ultra-fast internet. Alternatively, sip prosecco from your private patio while watching the sunset.

The bathroom is very special and has been used in several beauty photoshoots. There is a cast-iron rolltop bath, a deluge shower, and a generous supply of fluffy white towels.

The bedroom has a super-kingsize bed, and an upcycled chapel door has created a stylish headboard. The bed itself has a super comfy cashmere mattress dressed using crisp white bed linen.

Where you’ll be

Nr Stamford, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom

Pea Cottage is located in Southorpe village, five miles from Stamford. The village is very quiet and made up of several stone properties that reflect its agricultural heritage. Stamford is a prosperous market town that boasts more stone property per square mile than anywhere else in England.

When it comes to planning a short break the pressure is on. These days you've got to have "the best time ever" and just choosing a nice place and hoping for decent weather can be risky. I'm a big fan of Airbnb. I particularly like it when a host has gone the extra mile to think of little touches that can transform a good stay into an amazing one. I've done those thoughtful touches for you, and that's a relief if you're planning a birthday or anniversary break. These days we all lead such busy lives we don't have the time to plan all the little things that go into the perfect mini-break. It's the reason why Pea Cottage and Stamford Cider Huts have become so popular, irrespective of the weather. Instead of arriving and thinking, "ok, now what do we do?" I've creative a collection of little touches and suggestions that will make the most of your stay. These include a Prosecco Treasure Hunt, use of a tandem, an old fashioned record player, homemade cider, a choice of two walks and three hand-picked pubs to enjoy a memorable meal. Whenever I go away on an Airbnb break, I like to meet the host briefly rather than engage in a 2-hour chat. It's not that I'm anti-social, but I'm on holiday with my partner, and we have so little time away it's a very precious commodity. When I'm hosting and new guests arrive, I like to drop off a couple of bottles of homemade cider, find out if everything is ok and then disappear. Of course, I'm always happy to chat further, but I find guests' questions are often better answered via a mobile phone message.
