I stayed at Anderson and Kate's with 9 friends over President's day. It's about a 15 minute drive from Stratton, and there is a grocery story a 2 minute drive. I would recommend to anyone planning a ski trip with a larger group of friends. We fit comfortably with 10, but you could accommodate a few more people.

We really liked the house. The best is the hot tub. To relax in it and listen to the river below. Gorgeous view out of the sunroom in the morning to the greenery outside. A lot of wonderful plants - including a rare orchid… The kitchen is very welcoming, especially when 5 adults are trying to get their breakfast together. The kids loved the projector to watch their shows. The downstairs is great to let some steam out with table tennis and pool table. The bedrooms are cozy. Nice artistic touches throughout the house. Close to ski mountains and towns. A true Vermont gem. Definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

Wow! The outside of this house is so unassuming but the inside blows you away. You can really feel the creativity and uniqueness of Anderson & Kate in their decorating and house design. The home is well stocked with everything you would ever need to keep you occupied between whatever activities you're planning on doing in southern Vermont. Situated between 4 ski mountains this makes a great home base to share with friends and family. We made full use of the kitchen! I feel like I didn't stop cooking all weekend, just because the equipment was so great. The projection TV made movie night and netflix binge watching an inevitable activity. We shared the place with 10 people in total and it was very comfortable. The only negative was the pull out couch in the living room wasn't working too well so we just pulled the mattress out and used that. I can go on for days with how great the place was, but will stop here. Trust us, it's well worth it to choose the Magical Ski House in Sherwood Forest. -Jonathan & Carmen

This house is fantastic! Highly recommended for groups small to large. The house easily accommodated our group of 15, yet the house never felt crowded. At the same time, on our last night only 7 people stayed, the house still felt cozy with a smaller group. The house is perched on a large hill, and from that vantage point, the living room provides great views of the babbling brook next door and access down to several hiking trails if you'd like to adventure back there. The first floor of the house is really amazing. The layout is completely open, with only the staircase in the middle acting as a divider. This creates a feeling of everyone being in the same room at once, yet everyone having the space and privacy to feel hold different conversations or play different games in different rooms. The projection screen set up is great as well, especially with the Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, and Playstation 2 all hooked up and in working order. All of the rooms are very welcoming, and with the creative sleeping arrangements ranging from a pull out couch and a futon downstairs to a mattress upstairs between the bedrooms, all of your guests will have their own place to sleep. My girlfriend and I stayed in the master bedroom and slept well each night. Anderson and Kate are great hosts as well. They were very helpful in accommodating our large group, answered all of my questions promptly before arrival, and helped us figure out a small glitch with the hot tub. Speaking of the hot tub, it is set on the back deck just on the edge the hill. From there, you can hear and see the brook and all of the surrounding nature, making the experience that much better. Nearby, you'll find Magic Mountain and Stratton for skiing, and several good restaurants for some Apres Ski drinks and meals. Jake's in particular had good food, good music, and pool for a big group lunch. There was also a great little farmstand called Taylor Farm down the road that sold some of the best cheese we've ever had (the Governor's Cheddar I believe it was called, if you're interested). All in all, we could not have asked for a better weekend, and we owe a lot of how great the weekend was to how to how perfect and flexible this house was.

This place is actually amazing. Me and a group of 7 friends stole away for a long weekend at this home and could not have been more happy with it. The kitchen is incredible, the hot tub, the hammock, the projector situation. Kate and Anderson were incredibly responsive before during and after our stay. This was the most successful and cozy Airbnb experience I've had so far and would highly recommend it to anyone.

This place is great, there is a dragon room! Doesn't get much better. Plenty of room to hang with friends, play board games and cook, even if you have a larger group. The hot tub is perfect outside on back porch and covered, while you can hear the brook down the hill. The kitchen is huge especially the griddle, food has never tasted so good. This place is perfect Vermont getaway for skiing and spending time with friends. Thank you again Anderson and Kate!

The house is really cool! We had a wonderful trip staying there. It has a lot of space to hang out. We loved the well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed cooking and having dinner a lot. It's much better than dinning out. It was also lots of fun to hanging in the hot tub with good friends. It's especially nice that you could here the brook from the hot tub. Anderson had been responsive and helpful throughout our staying. I'd definite love to visit again!

Anderson and Kate are a young couple who would love to share their peaceful woodland home with the AirBnB community. When they aren't renting their house, they run a tiny house building and construction company. It's no surprise these adventurous nature lovers moved from Boston to their small Vermont neighborhood two years ago. If they aren't on the road exploring, you can usually find them cooking delicious food, playing in the woods, or just enjoying the peace and quiet.
