About this listing

Our air conditioned, cozy apartment is situated in the heart of Budapest, near all attractions – furthermore, it is a good place to discover how locals live and have fun.
There are several restaurants and “ruin” pubs within 100 meters, but if you want, you can also relax in the apartment far from the noise of the street, as the inner court of the building has a lovely and peaceful garden with an enormous chestnut tree in the middle providing a pleasant shade

The space

Some words about the apartment; it is on the first floor which is actually the top floor. Fully renewed in 2015. It consist of a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. The rooms are furnished with authentic furniture from the rural Hungary of the early 20th century – except for the brand new beds for your comfort.
The building itself is also interesting, since it was built in 1870 - presumably as a convent – and now it is a protected monument. Don’t worry about the age of the building, it is in an excellent condition with kind residents.

Our stay in Judits apartment was the best! It's a great location, calm street but in walking distance to all the sight seeings. Nice restaurants and shops nearby. The cosy apartment is very clean and of good quality. And Judit is the best host! She is communicative and welcomes you with a lot of info of the city. We would recommend it to everyone.

We absolutely loved our stay at Judit's apartment. It was a little smaller than expected, but that didn't bother us at all. The apartment is very clean and in a nice neighbourhood with amazing cafés, close to the old town and the Danube. Also Judit is a fantastic host herself and recommended places to visit and even left us some beer and chocolates. Thank you very much for making our stay unforgettable.

I really enjoy my stay with Judith's accommodation. The location is very convenient is situated in a quiet but also lively neighbourhood. You can just take a few minutes to walk to the vibrant Kazinczy street, at where the cool restaurants, street food, and bars are located. The flat is also a lovely decorated and well-equipped - they even provide a neatly designed map! If I happened to stay in Budapest longer, I would certainly love to stay with Judith's flat longer and perhaps to meet with them as well! Highly recommend to solo traveler or couple who would like to have an #staywithlocals experience - something you cannot usually get from staying with a chained-brand hotel.

Characterful apartment that has been really well refurbished. Good logistical location, whilst not feeling at all central: very peaceful. We had a great visit with our toddler and the bespoke map provided is a well presented and thoughtful additon. The map includes very nice non commercial recommendations - our being the freshwater fish restaurant, which was outstanding.

This is a first class Airbnb. Judit allowed us to check in early, met us personally and gave us a custom map with recommendations for our trip. The apartment is in a great location on a quiet street very near a nice square where you can sit out in the sun and relax with a coffee. It's walking distance to a lot of the main attractions and we barely needed to use public transport. The apartment is in a quiet and safe building. It's small but more than spacious enough for a couple. It's beautifully decorated, clean, and modern. The bed is very comfortable and extra blankets were provided although the apartment itself is very warm and cosy even when it's cold outside. The TV is new and has UPC but almost no English language channels other than BBC world news. It does have youtube though and the Wifi is excellent. Overall I would highly recommend this apartment. It's an A+ Airbnb experience.

Judit's place is in a very nice, secure, quiet block a short walk from the trendy Jewish quarter where you'll find most of Budapest's famous 'ruinpubs'. It's great if you're a couple looking to stay somewhere relaxing but near good nightlife options. The apartment is not enormous but is homely and clean, and was kept really warm and cosy during our stay. Judit met us at the apartment and was very friendly, giving us lots of tips - we were left a couple of beers and chocolate bars which was a nice touch too. Recommendations: Walking tour: Trip To Budapest Breakfast: à Table (not cheap, but nice) Ruinpubs: Szimpla Kert, Ellato Kert & Taqueria Craft beer: Neked Csak Dezső!

Lovely apartment in such a great location, far enough away that it's very quiet and absolutely no disturbances at night, a short walk to lots of bars and restaurants and public transport. Absolutely loved it.
