Maria Chiquita is very small village with a few local shops - not a tourist town! The closest place for shopping and restaurants is Sabanitas, a 15 minutes drive from María Chiquita. There are also a few restaurant along the road to Portobelo.

The resort has a restaurant calles Aku, that is open 11am-4pm Wednesday - Sunday (average $20 per person).
