The bedroom & bathroom is private on the ground floor with it's own access & terrace. The room is in a restored 17th century farmhouse and we live in the house. Breakfast can be served either on the terrace, in the bedroom or in our family kitchen. Please note the pool is only available when the gite next door is unoccupied .A full continental breakfast is available at 5 € per person. This includes tea or coffee, meusli, yoghurt, fruit, croissant, bread, cold meats and cheese, and confitures.
We can supply evening meal which you can choose to eat on the terrace, in your room or with us in our family kitchen. We can provide packed lunches if you require.
You have access to the garden, field, terrace with seating & if we don't have guests in Maison Lajus you are welcome to use the outdoor swimming pool during the months of May to September. Please note that if the gite (Maison Lajus) is available, we may upgrade your booking as it offers more spacious accommodation.
Interaction with guests
We are around if you want us but we'll stay out of the way if you want to relax. We have two Siamese cats that tend to keep out of sight and a Labrador cross who loves everybody, and keeps us very fit with long walks.
We do not allow smoking in the house.
Loud music is not appropriate in this quiet tranquil area.

I am an accountant working in France, my loves in life are being with family & friends, walking, swimming, yoga, keeping healthy, gardening & making things like cakes & clothes.
My hobbies have to be rotated as I just don't have time to fit them all in to working life but that's good because I'm never, ever bored!
Graham & I bought Maison Lajus, SW France in April 2006 after four years searching for place in the country. We fell in love instantly & fortunately everyone who visits feels the same.
Our search criteria was:
Rolling countryside & wonderful views like the Yorkshire Dales.
Four "proper seasons" cold clear winter, early spring, sunny summer & pretty colours in autumn.
More days of sunshine per annum than UK
A living community, not a tourist destination
Access to water, lakes or sea
Easy transport routes from the UK & other EU countries
We found it at Maison Lajus and have enjoyed every minute of our time there! I am enjoying our new life in France, there is always plenty to do and new places to explore.
