Thank you so much for your thorough review! I rewrote the house rules to make sure that: 1) Yellow Murphy room description states three times that there is no window, 2) There should be no sound after 10pm as a majority of guests start work early, 3) I require peace and quiet near my work area if for some reason a guest decides to sit next to me during my business hours of telework.
A clean well-maintained house next to the metro, generous breakfast, and an energetic friendly hostess attract a lot of guests. My rooms are usually booked back-to-back, so a change in the verbiage of house rules happens during someone’s stay. I don’t think the house rules change - they have been the same for many years, with or without Airbnb, with or without my kids or foreign students in the house. They are based on common sense – be respectful, let others sleep after 10pm, clean the kitchen. Almost all guests work out of the house during business hours, so I didn’t have to put “Please be considerate of hostess’ work space and hours” in the house rules until now.
I try my hardest to adhere to the house rules for everyone’s peace and enjoyment of the space. With a full-time job and several properties, it could be difficult, but it happens very rarely that I am out and about past 10pm. The stay in my lovely hospitable house couldn’t be too bad because I had the pleasure of having you for over 3 months! Thank you so much again for staying with me, Dominic. All the best!
