Anastasiya is a wonderful host! My last reservation was canceled at the last minute at another place and I sent Anastasiya a message and was able to book her room right then. She is a life saver!! Her place is comfortable, clean and convenient. Would recommend her place to any tr…

Anastasiya's place was wonderful. The room I stayed in was perfect for me since I was working night shift. Anastasiya was very accommodating since I needed to check in at an odd time. I would recommend her place to anyone. I was comfortable, clean and convenient.

The bathroom is SHARED. It is not a private bathroom as the description shows, it just that Anastasiya does not know how to fix that in the description. That makes a BIG difference when it comes to the price of the room. If I had known it was shared, I would have gone for a lower…

Response from Anastasiya:
Dear Teresa, Airbnb pushed us, hosts, to update every listing to the most recent standards. Indeed, a lot changed since August 2015. Before, there was no way to specify all the various details of the listing, such as whether the bathroom was private or shared, and whether the listing was in a townhouse or a condo building. I updated all my listings in early March 2018. Thank you again for staying with me for 2.5 months! You extended your stay several times even knowing about the shared bathroom. I take it as a compliment!

Overall, my stay at Anastasiya's house was not too bad. I really appreciate that she refilled a lot of house supplies such as paper towel, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. and she also frequently changed out the bed sheets and bathroom towels. The house was def…

Response from Anastasiya:
Dear Dominic, Thank you so much for your thorough review! I rewrote the house rules to make sure that: 1) Yellow Murphy room description states three times that there is no window, 2) There should be no sound after 10pm as a majority of guests start work early, 3) I require peace and quiet near my work area if for some reason a guest decides to sit next to me during my business hours of telework. A clean well-maintained house next to the metro, generous breakfast, and an energetic friendly hostess attract a lot of guests. My rooms are usually booked back-to-back, so a change in the verbiage of house rules happens during someone’s stay. I don’t think the house rules change - they have been the same for many years, with or without Airbnb, with or without my kids or foreign students in the house. They are based on common sense – be respectful, let others sleep after 10pm, clean the kitchen. Almost all guests work out of the house during business hours, so I didn’t have to put “Please be considerate of hostess’ work space and hours” in the house rules until now. I try my hardest to adhere to the house rules for everyone’s peace and enjoyment of the space. With a full-time job and several properties, it could be difficult, but it happens very rarely that I am out and about past 10pm. The stay in my lovely hospitable house couldn’t be too bad because I had the pleasure of having you for over 3 months! Thank you so much again for staying with me, Dominic. All the best! Anastasiya.

I am a mother of two college-age kids. I work full-time, that's why check-in is at 6pm or later, and check-out is by 9am (11am on weekends). I absolutely love hosting. Airbnb is a new source, but I have hosted DC guests for business or pleasure through other programs - Au-Pair…
