Our bright 3 bed, 3.5 bath terrace, on a beautiful tree-lined Avenue in Darlinghurst is a quiet oasis moments from fantastic cafés & restaurants, & is a great base for exploring Sydney & beyond! 20min walk to city centre, 10min to train, 2min to bus.

The space

Our Victorian terrace house is surrounded by quiet walking streets, cafes, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and shops, Saturday markets and a cosmopolitan neighbourhood. The city centre, Sydney harbour, Opera House, the NSW Art Gallery, Australian Museum, Rushcutter's Bay, Paddington and Surry Hills are all within a 5-20min walk away. Access to all areas of Sydney and beyond. Kings Cross train station is 5mins away, and access to the major bus routes to Sydney's beaches 2mins away.

YES, we provide bed linen, blankets and towels. It's hardly a holiday if you have to bring your own!
We also provide some cooking basics, like oil, salt, pepper and sugar, to minimise your food shopping.
*Please note that our parking, accessed from a rear lane, is suitable for standard passenger vehicles only.

We have two young children ourselves and understand that little things can make traveling with kids so much easier! If it helps, we can provide:

The house is in a great location, surrounded by pedestrian streets. Darlinghurst is now a sought-after suburb of Sydney, particluarly for young creatives and families, and is also popular with downsizers, offering walking distance to the city, Paddington, Surry Hills and Potts Point and great restaurants and nightlife, while being a short trip to beautiful surrounding parks and the beaches of Sydney. Womerah Avenue itself is considered one of (if not the best!) streets in Darlinghurst. Quiet and tree-lined, it is home to both a large number of young singles and couples, and a growing number of families who aren't willing to leave the convenience and spoils of the area behind for the suburbs!

We live in the area with our five and seven year old children, as do a large number of other families. Womerah Ave and the Darlinghurst area has gentrified over the last 10 years, is one of the most creative and desirable areas of Sydney. The area is highly populated and, using common sense, we have never felt anything but safe in the area.

We have off-street parking for one car (standard passenger vehicle), accessed via a remote roller shutter from the rear lane way. **Please do not attempt to lift our roller shutter by hand**

This is a NO SMOKING HOME. Absolutely no smoking is allowed either inside the house or in the courtyards. This is important, and ignoring this rule will impact on your security deposit.

Guest access

You will have the run of, and access to the entire three bedroom terrace house, with front and side courtyards, sunny rear balcony, and the off-street parking during your stay.

Interaction with guests

We can be contacted by phone, or can pop by if needed, but we generally like to respect your privacy, and leave you to enjoy your stay.

Other things to note

We have off-street parking for one car, accessed via a remote roller shutter from the rear lane way.
Parking on the street is time limited. Car rental locations are close by and GoGet car-share is easy and available close by. Locals walk everywhere or use the buses and trains - the location is central and this is easy.
A number of "GoGet" car-share vehicles are located within a two minute walk of the apartment. Parking is free in "car-share" spaces and foreign licences are accepted. Prior to leaving home (to avoid delays in waiting for activation card to arrive in post) you can register using our address for the information pack and activation card. Search for GoGet Car Share Sydney. Look for the FAQ's.

Our terrace house is accessed from the street up a flight of stairs. The bedrooms are over three levels. This may not be a suitable property for you if you have young children, or mobility issues.

Combined washing machine and dryer is available for use in the internal laundry.

- No parties. We like and respect our lovely neighbours and peaceful neighbourhood, and ask that you uphold this respect during your stay.

- Strictly booked guests only in the house for security reasons.

- Please leave our home as you found it

- Please be respectful of other residents and neighbours, and keep the noise down after about 10pm. Our house is on a quiet residential street and there are young families and shift workers (chefs, hospital staff etc) adjoining the property on both sides.

- If there are any problems during your stay, please let me know and we'll do our best to sort things out.

- Absolutely NO SMOKING in the house, including in the courtyards. This is important, please. We are a strictly no smoking household, and also wish to respect our neighbours who will be impacted by smoking on the property.

- No pets, sorry.

- We really appreciate it if you can leave the place as you found it on your departure. Please wash dishes, etc and return to cupboards before you leave. Please place all garbage into the outside garbage bins (inside the garbage enclosure just inside the front gate). Garbage is collected early on Monday morning. If you are staying in the property on a Sunday night please place garbage bins out on the footpath, against the front stone wall.

- Please contact us prior to departure to notify us of any spills, damage or breakages so we can replace these items for other guests.

A beautiful, spacious Home in a trendy neighbourhood. The property was just as described - truly stunning. Jo was great to communicate with and made our stay very easy. The location was easy to go to all the must - see spots and opened up fun brunch and bar options a few minutes walk from the house. Would definitely recommend as the perfect place to stay in whilst exploring Sydney. Thank you and look forward to coming back!

What a wonderful house. When away from home and across the other side of the world it was great to stay in a welcoming comfortable home rather than a stuffy hotel. Jo is a great host and the treats upon arrival were much appreciated.

Beautiful house, loads of space. 3 large bedrooms all with en suites. Location is great for Darlinghurst, Kings Cross & Surry Hills. City is also easily accessible Jodie was good to deal with and helpful when we needed. No bbq is probably only downside to property. But we were aware of this when booking

It was a good stay, the place was spacious; enough for 7 of us, and is located in a quiet neighborhood. It is close to the center of the city, yet a bit tricky if you have a car; getting to garage from front door was not simple, and parking was a challenge because of its layout.

I'm sorry you had trouble with parking your vehicle, but as noted in our listing, our parking (as for most inner Sydney terrace houses) is suitable for a standard sized car. It's not suitable for the large 9 seat Van you were parking on site. We're glad you enjoyed our lovely, quiet inner city neighbourhood.

We had such a beautiful stay in Darlinghurst. Jo was very easy and quick when liaising and check in/out was a breeze. The photos do not do justice for this property- the view from the front room onto the big green tree and street of terraces was spectacular. The kitchen was very well equipped as were the laundry and bathrooms. We walked into the city a few days too- a very central location. Our only hiccup was the wifi not connecting. Thanks for welcoming us into your home- definitely considering moving to Sydney now! Julia x

My family of 6 and a baby stayed here for 5 nights, and we enjoyed it overall. The photos are very reflective of the actual place itself. The house is big and clean. We had to do a self check-in and the very detailed instructions were useful. There was nespresso coffee and milk for us, netflix, etc. So we were very comfortable. The place is also about 15min walking disctance to oxford street, and about 10min walk to rushcutters bay which is a great park for adults and kids alike. Victoria street, 5min away has plenty of food so location is very convenient. The only small issue for us was that the wifi was rather patchy. And the beds very soft but that's a personal preference. Jo was very prompt, direct and clear in her communications. We would consider staying back here.
