Location is really quite romantic; in a scruffy and warm way : ). The flat is located in the main house, on the second floor, I could not fault the decor - the room and bathroom were nicely well finished. The couple are fantastic and very friendly; I could only pop in and out on my visit, however if I'd had more time would have loved to socialise a bit more. All round I'd really recommend!

Awesome place owned by awesome people! The area is super local and offers many connections in terms of transportation and even people. There was the underground film festival of BKK when we went there so it made our stay even more magic. I strongly recommend this place for people who love authenticity and good vibes.

For my boyfriend and I it was the first trip to Bangkok. As we didn't want to stay in a hotel we found Carol and Surats lovely apartment. I am very happy that they invited us to stay. Both are very warm and welcoming. Surat helped us finding the place, which is located in old china town, when we arrived. We had great conversations with both and they always helped us with recommendations and tips. They made our time in Bangkok special. We want to thank them very much. The apartment is very nice, as shown on the pictures. It was all arranged for our arriving, it was clean, has AirCon and we got keys. Both the bathroom and the rooftop terrace are real highlights of the accommodation. Our very own highlight was the traditional Thai/Chinese street food around the accommodation – authentic food for real people! The next train station is in walking distance (15mins) but we used to use Uber as it was more convenient. We definitely would come back to Carol and Surat!

I loved Carol's place. You get to live in Bangkok and at the same time experience how Thai people live. The apartment is very nice, the amenities are great, and the bed is really comfortable. Carol and Surat are lovely people and great hosts. I also loved the nearby market. Everyone was so friendly, and it was very good quality and cheap. I spent a whole month in Carol's place, and only by the end of the trip I realized it would have been nice to spend more time with them. Maybe next time! Thanks a lot for hosting me :)

It was a great experience to stay at Carol's place for our first night in Thailand. Great location within a market, even if it's tricky to find, it's so nice to be there. If you are looking for a traditional stay type and not a touristic hotel, this is definitely a place to go.

We could live here in this little corner of Bangkok... Nestled in low-key part of the city, we found our accommodation most welcoming, from the super comfy bed to the rich, much-needed private shower. We loved our overlook of the city from the balcony/terrace and the PIANO, a source of balance in this city's overwhelming size. Carol and Surat are beautiful people, some that we hope to know for life! Stay here and experience real life in Bangkok. Kawpkoonkah! Susan & Michael, SF, CA, USA

If you aren't afraid of the less-travelled by paths, stay here! We booked an extra day/night in Bangkok, in large part because we enjoyed this stay so much. (See other review for more details!!!) Susan and Michael
