For families and couples, a romantic home perfect for any needs, between the mountains but a few minutes drive from the sea. With a magnificent view in a quiet but accessible village to everything you need.

The space

Stone house in the village of Stazzema. The house has 3 bedrooms, large kitchen with fireplace, sitting room, 2 bathrooms and a beautiful panoramic terrace of 15 sqm.
It has 6 beds, two single beds and two double beds. There is also a crib for babies and a cot with children's beds.
On the upper floors the floor is of chestnut wood, the decor is romantic but functional. It also has a small private garden.
The house is free on three sides. The place is very quiet, ideal for lovers or for those who want to meditate or to go on a family trip immersed in the typical Italian atmosphere between sea and mountain.
Casa Serena is very welcoming, romantic and charming. The room with the canopy is very appreciated by those who have stayed there, while the terrace can be used to have breakfast enjoying the beautiful panorama.

The village is very ancient, there are two churches and a children's playground where adults can enjoy the cool under the chestnut trees. The house has a wonderful view, from the windows you can admire the wonderful spectacle that the Apuan Alps offer.

We spent a very pleasant time in Stazemma. The village is located in a very charming area. Not far from the sea (approx. 20 minutes by car). Beautiful views. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you love climatic Italian villages with narrow streets, this place is created for you. The apartment is large, very climatic, decorated in rustic style.

We very much agree with all other reviews, the area is beautiful and the view is very nice. Stazzema is a very beautiful old town and it has a nice hiking route to Mulina (and further, but we didn't walk those). And the beach is not too far, a 30 - 40 minute drive. Elisabetta waited for us at the piazza to show us the way to the house and had a nice welcome package ready for us. The house itself is nice also, the kitchen is a bit basic, but for two persons you don't need any more. We really liked the (locally mined) natural stone used in the house. The terrace is also very nice, it's quiet and gives a beautiful view of the mountains. To be fair, there were some downsides. The house could be cleaner (floor was dusty, some food behind the cooking facilities from previous users) and the boiler is pretty small, giving you about 3 minutes of shower time. The latter doesn't have to be a problem of course, if you don't mind. And the house being not too clean might be attributed to the fact that we booked only 2 days before arrival. Overall, there is some room for improvement, but we had a very nice time there. And if you don't mind the relatively short shower time, we would definetely recommend this place!

Charming house located in a remote and quiet village in the heart of the Apuane mountains. Many diverse activities are possible in this region. Interesting and beautiful trecks in the mountains (adapted for children), sea resorts nearby, and of course Lucca or also Pisa to visit. Lovely base camp specially recommended for a family.

We enjoyed very much our stay in Elisabetta's house. The village is gorgeous, beautiful views, everything we could have hoped for. The house is charming, rustic and has a great terrace with wonderful mountain views, perfect for breakfast. We didn't meet Elisabetta but her neighbour was there to welcome us and was very helpful. We recommend that place and Elisabetta was very reactive and ready to help us. Great stay !

I trully do not know where to start... The house is so romantic! Beautifully decorated, very clean, perfectly situated and well equipped. We stayed for a week and would love to stay for a month at least. Unfortunately our son was ill during our stay, so I had to stay at home a lot from our time, but only thanks to Elisabetta's house we enjoyed our holiday anyway. When we arrived we were surprised by it's location, the village is beautiful and the air was so refreshing. Nadia showed us the whole house, she was very welcoming and likable. The orientation of the house is perfect. No one is looking into your windows, that offers gorgeous views to mountains over the rooftops. Elisabetta thought of every detail. I was cooking there and the little shop does offer basic vegetable, fruit, pasta, cheeses. We didn't mind the distance from the sea, as we took our bikes and that was great help. As well we've visited Pisa and the wild beach, that was much better than the expensive Forte dei Marmi. We enjoyed the ultra quiet nights, singing rooster in the morning and smell of clean laundry with ascents of lavender. I am host as well and this stay very inspiring for me. Thanks to Elisabetta I don't want to travel differently. Veronika
