Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
A comfortable, modern, well-equipped cottage with mountain and sea views. With good access to the island and near local shops and restaurants, Bruaich Mhor is an ideal base for exploring the wonderful Isle of Skye. The cottage sleeps max two people. The cottage is not suitable for children.

The space
The cottage has an open-plan sitting room / kitchen / dining area with views over Beinn na Caillich, the Red Cuillin mountains and northwards over Broadford Bay. You can sit and enjoy watching the amazing sunsets over the mountains.
The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster as well as everything you need for cooking (plates, cups, glasses, pans etc.). There is also a washing machine / dryer and all towels and bed linen are provided. The cottage has a wireless internet connection, TV with Freesat channels, DVD player and an ipod dock. The cottage has underfloor heating throughout.
The bathroom has a whirlpool bath with a shower over. The bedroom has a double bed, a wardrobe, drawers and a TV.
There is a small, lockable shed next to the cottage where you can store bikes.
We provide a welcome tray with coffee, tea and biscuits.

Guest access
The cottage is next to our house and shares a driveway with us. However, the cottage is completely self-contained with its own parking space and a small, private outside decking area at the back.

Other things to note
Bruaich Mhor is set back from the main road on Skye, the A87. This makes it easy to get to other places on the island, however there can be a lot of traffic, especially in summer months so there is some road noise at peak times.

I live on Skye with my partner, Chris, and together we run our self-catering cottage. I also work as an editor and Chris is a professional photographer - he does photography tuition and writes for photography magazines. We both love landscape and exploring new places. Not much makes us happier than a beautiful sunrise or sunset standing on a beach or up in the mountains. That and good coffee!

During your stay
As we live opposite the cottage, we're usually around and are happy to help with information about the local area, the Isle of Skye and the Highlands. If you're happier just doing your own thing, that's absolutely fine, too.
