We really enjoyed our stay at Catherine's apartment in the lovely Puteaux neighbourhood.
Prior to arriving, communication with Catherine was excellent. The apartment was easy to find and Catherine was a wonderful host, showing us around the apartment and how to get to the local metro station.
The apartment itself is spacious (for Paris) and offers a quiet and private haven from the business of central Paris. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided; towels, cooking utensils, bedding and of course, tv and fast wi-fi. Unlike other AirBnB rentals I have stayed in, no basic essentials (e.g. tea/coffee, fruit, milk) were provided but this was not a problem for us.
We were very impressed by the apartment block itself, it is very residential and quiet- we did not hear a single noise after 10pm and slept very well all three nights of our visit. Within the local area there are lots of restaurants and shops at a few minutes walk. The metro line into central Paris (or la defence and Paris vicinity) is a 10 minute walk from the apartment making it very well connected.
In the interest of honesty, we have given Catherine's apartment 4 starts, rather than 5, for a few reasons. First, the apartment could have been a bit cleaner than it was (e.g. marks on walls, doors, floors), although the bathroom and bedroom was very clean. Second, there were a number of maintenance concerns such as light bulbs not working (incl. toilet, bedroom), the kettle not working and the toilet being blocked up. Third, the apartment is minimalist (no wardrobe or furniture beyond essentials) and quite dated. We do no think, however, that these minor issues detract from Catherine's lovely hospitality and convenient and spacious apartment.
We would definitely stay in this apartment again and would like to thank Catherine for welcoming us into her home.
