Great place for a get away! Clean, remote, and a lovely fire place with everything you need. Close to Shenendoah State Park and a bunch of vineyards. We really enjoyed our stay.

This place was fantastic. The charm of a cabin without the cliché touches. The trails local to the property were great for a first night welcome into the area and the cows a great crew of hostesses! The wifi worked if you need it but we really enjoyed throwing our phones in a bin and enjoying the weekend without them. House is stocked with books, board games, and cards. If you're planning on cooking yourself there are plenty of utensils and cookware as well as the standard microwave, toaster, toaster oven, etc. That said, bring groceries with because there weren't any close markets! We didn't take advantage of the outdoor grill area but did find great wildlife around the farm and even the garden around the house. Our dog came with and it was a great trip for all! Shenandoah National Forest was about 20 minutes, Barboursville Winery was about 30 in the opposite direction by car.

Erica/Scott's cabin in Shenandoah Valley was awesome. We had plenty of space for our dog to run and it was close enough to national forest and vineyards to fill up our entire time in the region. We had a blast and would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed getting away from DC and exploring rural VA for MDW. Scott and Erica have a lovely home. The property was nice and quiet- we wished we could have taken advantage of the outdoor grill/ fire pit if the weather had been better. I would def recommend this house.

House exactly as described. More stuff available than noted - tons of books, games, etc. Fire patio has grill and some wood was available. If you want to cook, be sure to bring what ingredients you need as kitchen has only what someone else left there! Beds are full-sized and softer than some might appreciate. Everything is up to date and in working order. Wi-fi much appreciated as cell service (at least on AT&T) wasn't available. Easy access to Shenandoah. Note that most VA wineries are open only on weekends. Use VAWineInMyPocket app to get location and info. Note for dog owners: there is a fenced yard - if you close gate at driveway - but - BUT - the gates and low stone ways that keep cows in will not keep an inquisitive and disobedient pup from getting into the pasture. The cows/bulls don't look like they'd appreciate a visit - so beware. There is enough room in yard if you had a tie-out and wanted dog to hang in yard with you.

This cabin was cozy, charming and just as advertised. It's a bit remote, but still served as a great "home base" for exploring Shenandoah and the upper GW National Forest. The surroundings are picturesque. Well stocked with utensils in the kitchen and games and books in the living room. Just enough WiFi to be on the grid if needed. We enjoyed the wood burning stove. Erica and Scott were responsive and accommodating hosts. Couldn't have asked for more for our mountain getaway!

I live in New York, and work in finance. When I'm not working or traveling, I enjoy playing the guitar and going golfing. I have been spending time in South America for the past 15 years, and Buenos Aires is one of my favorite cities.
