🔑 Additional Details

Firewood: $50 per load (25 pieces, enough for one night) delivered, or bring your own (12” logs max). Bring a fire starter if possible.

Check-In: 4:00 PM (standard) | 1:30 PM (early check-in, $50 to cleaning crew).

Stay Length: We recommend 2 nights to fully immerse yourself.

Wildlife: Expect deer, turkeys, owls, rabbits, and more. You may also see mice, wasps, or insects—close barn doors at night to keep critters out.

As a guest, there are 285 acres to explore included in your stay ! Follow the NEWLY developed HEART Trail to hidden pond trail to hidden pond to top to the Trillium hammock, climb in and have lunch.
Bring a chime to hang on Jacobs Ladders trail where thousands of chimes have been placed in memory of someone.

If you want to, explore the canopy. The guided, hour & a half “climb to the top" tree climbs, can be pre-register by emailing us once you book your stay. $59.00 a climber

Important Update Effective November 1, 2025
Private bathrooms will transition to an open bathhouse concept. Guests will have access to three shared bathrooms and a shared kitchen sink, all conveniently located by the farmhouse and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Fresh towels will be supplied to each rental for your comfort.

Subway is in Brooksville (15 mins)

Pizza can be ordered from 1st stop gas station in Germantown 4 miles from the treehouse or from Snappys in Brooksville. They will deliver if not busy.

Augusta, KY is only about 15 miles away and highly recommended. It is a quaint, historical town. Please call ahead for store hours of Irish Pub.
Take a ride across the Ohio river on the Augusta Ferry to Ripley Ohio and eat at the Boat Tavern right on the river

Augusta is hometown of George Clooney.
You can visit his mom -Nina Clooney- right at her antique shop on main called Nina's
Or visit Rosemary Clooney House,
the Baker-Bird Winery, or the 1811 Historic Jail.

Earthjoy was established in 2007 as a tree climbing company. In 2015 the Pete Nelson treehouse was built and known as the Kentucky Climbers Cottage on Animal Planet ( season 4 episode 6) Earthjoy has been featured on KET TV twice, Cinnanati magazine and nominated best place to stay in bourbon wilderness trail. When you book a stay you also get private access to magical, maintained 285 acres of themed trails of varying levels of difficulty.
