Renovated (shabby chic/french style) fully self contained, private, 2 bedroom non smoking, studio. External access and use of the family pool and BBQ area. Dog friendly, fully fenced and tropically landscaped. 8 minutes drive to the popular Sunshine Coast beaches.
This is a large freshly renovated 2 bedroom studio with french/shabby chic decor painted in provincial whites , blues and greens. The larger bedroom has a queen size bed with quality linen and towels provided.There's a wardrobe, set of drawers, bedside lighting, and a lovely tropical view north. The second room has a single bed and trundler that may be joined to make a king bed or use as two singles. There is quality linen available for king or single bed arrangements.There's a large wardrobe, bedside lamp and a set of drawers in that room also.
There are airbeds available if more people wish to stay as there's plenty of floor space. There is a portacot and highchair available for infants
Beach towels are also supplied.
There are fans in each room and the air flows well throughout the studio in summer. There is also a new air conditioner in the main lounge room which also cools the kitchen /lounge/dining area is large and light. The whole studio has french/vintage feel to it.
There's a new washing machine and fridge, a vintage pantry, a microwave and dual hotplate unit. The kitchen is fully equipped plus an expresso coffee machine! There is a lovely dining table looking out onto the garden. The bathroom is small and quaint with a new tiled shower, new toilet and cabinet.The shower hose is detachable to reach down for children to shower with. There is a hairdryer.
It's a quiet, private studio where you can enjoy the wakening chorus of the colourful birds in the trees close by.
You have your own private entrance to the side of the family home to the 18 metre luxurious pool which you could share with the owners. There is a BBQ for your use outside the studio.
Dogs may be brought by NEGOTIATION as the rules are strict and any damage incurred will be paid for by the owner. The back yard is fully fenced for your dog and has subtropical landscaping. NO dogs in the Studio please, if it's raining they may sleep in our laundry close by. Poop pick up DAILY please and into the bins at the entrance to the property.
If you're lucky you may pick grapefruit, bananas, pineapples or a bowl of mulberries from the fruit trees.
This studio is fully equipped so you can just arrive, unpack and relax!
Parking is available closest to the studio ( rt hand side of the driveway) for your car. Your entrance is through a gate to the right of the main house. You will receive a key code to the keybox beside the gate with confirmation of your booking.
Interaction with guests
It's important to let us know what time you think you will arrive so we can leave a key out if we are out working. We are happy to chat with you to let you know all the wonderful things there are to do on the Sunshine Coast - the studio has maps and brochures for you to peruse. There may be times we share the pool over the summer.
Our neighbourhood on top of Buderim is quiet and north facing for those who love the warmth in winter and the breezes in summer. The sunsets over the hinterland are stunning! Buderim is incredibly central on the Sunshine Coast with easy access to all attractions and only 8 minutes drive to Mooloolaba beach, Alex Headlands beach and Maroochydore. It's only a 35 minute drive North to Noosa and it's a glorious drive along the coast to get there. It's 35 minutes up into the hinterland to the picturesque towns of Maleny, Montville and Mapleton, Kondalilla Falls and Lake Baroon.
The public buses are a 10 minute walk from our house. There's a shuttle bus that does direct pick up and drop off to the house from the airports.
Other things to note
There is a little dog, Millie who resides in the family home - very friendly - so please don't bring non dog friendly dogs to the property. Sunrise is the family black and white cat who runs the show - if you bring a dog be warned Sunrise is the king around here!
This is a NO smoking ENTIRE property.
NO RUNNING around the pool as it's slippery when wet so be careful.
The pool is closed after 8.30 pm and open at 7.30 am.
No glasses by the pool please. Plastic ones are provided for you.
Please clean off sand before entering the studio using the tap outside on the wall.
Please don't take sandy towels inside, hang them out on the clothesline.
Please do not eat or drink in the bedrooms.
No parties or entertaining other guests without prior negotiation.
If you bring a dog, please carry out a poop patrol DAILY. If you bring a pet, we have a fully fenced yard out the back and it may sleep in the laundry. NO DOGS IN THE STUDIO PLEASE.
If you bring a cat, please bring your own litter tray and litter and dispose of it wrapped in newspaper in the bins outside.

Hi, I'm a New Zealander living on the Sunshine Coast. My daughter has moved to the USA and there's only myself and my husband Bernhard in this beautiful home that looks north towards Noosa. I'm a private midwife on call 24/7 and am passionate about normal empowering births. Most of my women choose to birth in a sacred and spiritual environment - their home. I involve my clients in alternative health therapies to empower them to birth naturally and calmly and to have the best birthing experience possible.
We love our coastline beaches, and it's only an 8 minute drive to Mooloolaba, Cotton Tree and Maroochydore beaches where the waves are for gentle surfers most of the time. I love body surfing, - using the surfboard was a bit of a challenge!!
Bernhard and I love to travel; Europe, South America, Africa, we have only just begun and next year we will take off for a year or two exploring the world using our TEASOL to work in communities teaching English. Last year Bernhard took part in the Triathalon Ironman in Roth Germany with buddies before we travelled on through France (at the time of the Tour de France), exploring the Alps down to the coast. Loved it!!
We enjoy reading, socialising, Ausie BBQ's, healthy foods and healthy cooking, exersize for fun and fitness, our pets - a cat and a dog; walking the beaches and exploring the country in our 4 wheel drive Troop carrier which has been converted to a camper. Bernhard is an keen gardener so you'll find all sorts of tropical plants and fruit in and around our property.
We are casual in appearance, love time with our good friends, meeting people, and having a good laugh.
As a host and hostess we can help you plan your exploration of the Sunshine Coast , tell you about good restaurants, shopping, walks, scenery, activities and ensure you have a restful stay at our house. You can relax by the pool, do lengths if you're a swimmer, lift some weights, cook up a BBQ, and if you require, we can provide you with breakfast.There's the internet, TV, Apple TV, and all sorts of reading material should it be a cooler day for inside activities. We can accommodate most preferences so your stay is what you want.
