About this listing
Peaceful wooden log cabin in our garden in town. Access to kitchen and downstairs bathroom in the main house and to gardens. You will have keys to both the log cabin and the house. Ample on street parking with permit.
Peaceful log cabin in a town garden looking out onto small veggie patch. Insulated roof and floor, electric heater and hot water bottles to keep you cosy through the winter.
You will have access to the log cabin, the garden and outdoor seating areas plus the kitchen in the house where you can make your breakfast. There are no toilet facilities in the cabin itself. You will have access to the downstairs bathroom in the house.
Interaction with guests
We are teachers and will usually be around during term time. We love Totnes and know the area well.
Other things to note
Guests usually help themselves to breakfast, using what's available in the kitchen. We usually have bread and spreads, muesli and fruit, teas and coffees and non-dairy alternatives to milk (usually oat). If you need any other kinds of milk, or anything else, please bring it along and we'll find a space for you to store it.
Friendly Labradoodle dog, called Ash, in the house. Bred for blind people with allergies. He's usually very enthusiastic when people arrive but soon settles down.
Our 17 year old son's drum kit is in the cabin. The fire and CO alarms are in the main house not the cabin. For a reliable internet connection, you will probably need to come into the house.
We want you to enjoy your stay but ask that you don't smoke anywhere on the property.

I am a 62 year old teacher, married to Helen and we have one son Luke who is 17 years old and a lovely Labradoodle called Ash. We love travelling and meeting new people and we speak several languages though our Spanish is best as we all lived there for a couple of years. We love living in friendly Totnes and can tell you a lot about the local area. I am also a teacher of meditation and Buddhism and we have a lovely quiet log cabin in the garden to relax in. To live heartfully and joyfully in the present and to help others do so is my aim in life. You can learn more about me and what I do on my website, clearlightmind
