About this listing

All guests love the sea view from the living areas. Be inspired each morning. Beautiful Greenway trail starts behind the house. It's 5 min walk to the beach, shops and 2 mins to pub, pool and gym(in hotel next door). Explore historic Clare island and Westport house. Bedrooms - master ensuite, twin and a single. Main bathroom has power shower. Kitchen is fully equipped- dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, fridge. Relax in the living room with the fire crackling, satellite TV.

The space

Set 5 min walk above the traditional village of Mulranny this
house has stunning sea views. Enjoy breakfast watching the light play on the waves and mountains beyond.
At the back door is the Western Greenway- a coastal path of 50km which links Achill and Westport. You can cycle the Greenway or walk it and be inspired by the beautiful scenery on this coastal route around Clew bay. It can be divided into easy sections when hiring a bike locally. The rental company will collect you and return you to your point of origin if you wish to travel one way only.
Across the road is the beautiful beach of Mulranny. There is a great choice o beaches in the area - Murrevagh, Keel and the little gem of Keem bay.
A few steps away ,hidden behind the trees is the 4 star hotel with swim pool, gym, hot tub and Jacuzzi - open to non residents for a fee.
Shops and pub with live music - only 5 mins walk. West of Ireland awaits you as Achill and Connemara beckon

Guests love the wonderful view across the Bay to the range of mountains that includes Croagh Patrick.

This is a very scenic area with lots of heritage sites - Grannuaile fortresses, Ceide Fields, old monasteries, Deserted Village .
Cruise around the inner islands of Clew Bay of which there are over three hundred and watch the seals and if lucky the dolpins. If cruising sounds too slow take an exhilirating rib ride around the Bay and shore line cliffs. Also a visit to Clare island with its cistercian abbey and ancient wall paintings and lovely headland walks is recommended.
Connemara national park is very accessible in a day trip and be sure to include visits to Kylemore abbey and gardens and the wonderful Sky Road.
Westport house is a fine Georgian mansion with Adventure Park and spooky dungeons, zorbing and zip lines - something to entertain all the family. It is 25 mins by car.

There are low level loop walks locally or head to higher ground to view Bellacragher bay , the Nephin mountains, Minaun cliffs, Croagh Patrick.
For those who like to view as they drive there are several recommended routes along this part of the Wild Atlantic Way which will woo and have you reaching for your camera to frame those wonderful scenes.
This is just a taste of the attractions in the area. I have much more detail which I send once a booking is confirmed.

The whole house is accessible as are the shared green areas in the development.

When you have made the final payment I will send on lots of detail on sites of interest, suggest restaurants , beautiful drives, heritage sites, entertainment for children in all weather and a map of the area.

Mayo's beautiful landscape and seascape will enthrall. It is a part of the famous Wild Atlantic Way where beautiful beaches, superb Atlantic headlands and cliffs, heritage sites, local traditional music sessions and Connemara area can be experienced. Its wilderness is beautiful into which you can escape by walking the narrow lanes that lead around the maze of lakes to Lough Furnace .Or take a fascinating boat trip into inner Clew Bay following the footsteps of the legendary pirate queen Grace o' Malley to her castle where she lived for many years.

Great holiday in an ideal location. So handy to the beach, the leisure centre at the hotel next door and Moynish House pub. People in Mulranny were friendly and helpful and there are lovely places to go for walks and spins. Great off-season break with the pool next door in the hotel.

Hi Pam Really enjoyed our break at your Holiday Home in Mulranny House was very clean and spacious and the lovely views from the living room were very relaxing. We had difficulty with the wifi but i was happy for my kids to be off it for a few days! Hope to return soon Kevin
