Martha Y Pancho's place is exactly as presented in the pictures. San Angel is a lovely area and recommended. I was there on a business trip so didn't spend too much time there but enjoyed coming back here each evening and loved being served a wonderful breakfast each morning by Maru, Margarita and Sebastian. I'd recommend this listing.

I stayed at the Artist Residence for a week and it was one of the nicest stays I have ever had anywhere. The hosts Martha and Pancho are very attentive and considerate, and the refinement and taste they have put into every aspect of this beautiful B and B are remarkable. If you are the type of person who appreciates art, architecture, design and the thoughtful details that transform a room and house into a delightful getaway, stay here, it is worth the money!! The breakfasts are delicious, fresh and varied. The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are extremely comfortable with great beds. And the roof garden is like a fantasy come true, with sofas, umbrellas, trees, a waterfall, and kitchen if you want to cook. The little village of San Angel, and nearby Coyoacan, are historic, charming getaways from the bustle of the big city and have loads of dining, shopping, arts and culture, and just wonderful peaceful strolling opportunities. I can't wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed here for a week. It was everything we anticipated and more..We were warmly greeted by Maru and Juan Carlos after a long flight and they did everything they could to make us feel welcome. The apartment was very comfortable and everything worked. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, bathrobes and slippers provided and good quality towels and linen. Every morning we were greeted with smiles and delicious breakfasts. We loved meeting all the other residents at the breakfast table each morning. Especially we loved the roof garden which was a magical escape from the busy Mexico City streets. San Angel is a beautiful area. We recommend Barola cafe for really good coffee, Osteria 7 just up the street for very good Italian food and don't miss the San Angel Inn for their delicious margaritas. A special place and not expensive. We thought we would miss Martha and Pancho but they arrived back from travels on the day before we left. The warmth and hospitality they extended to us was exceptional. This was the best Air bandb experience we have ever had! Thank you!

This was the best AirBnB experience I have had to date. Staying here will make you fall in love with Mexico City. The beauty of the room matched that of the house and neighborhood. This is also the perfect place if you are staying longer for more than a weekend. It is very comfortable. I had to leave most days to attend classes. My mother was more than comfortable staying at Martha and Pancho's home while I was away during the day. The rooftop patio and home are the perfect place to either be productive or unwind!

I really enjoyed staying in Martha's house. The room is elegantly designed, the service is hotel-like, and the location is very convenient in terms of daily life. There's a small shopping center (with a movie theatre) in walking distance, and we found a street lined up with nice Mexican restaurants. The neighborhood is also very beautiful.

We are a mexican couple who has been together for more than 20 years. We have two teenagers: a daughter, a son; and two pets: cats.
We are in the IT business and we love to travel. We always travel as if it was the last trip of our lives. For us, family, love and harmony are essential in life. We enjoy contemporary art and we are dedicated to promoting mexican artists and culture in every place we visit.
Pancho and I met scuba diving in 1994, therefore the sea, nature and outdoor activities are basic and necessary for both. We enjoy camping, scuba diving and sailing, sport in which we compete every month in Acapulco.
Lunch time is a special moment for us, a pause where we can enjoy and celebrate being together every day, a moment apart from the rush of the city where we prepare ourselves for the afternoon daily commitments.
We love Mexico and we are ambassadors of our country, we always talk about how great is the mexican spirit, its culture, gastronomy, beaches and its millionaire history. If we had to choose another country to live, it would be Italy for the same reasons we love Mexico.
We recognize ourselves as entrepreneurs because of our professional upbringing, we generate projects and ideas, some of which become business ventures. We've always been motivated by the risk, investing time, money and effort to develop new ideas with a purposeful end. Another factor deeply rooted in our family is ecology and self sustainability and seek to have the least possible impact on our environment and our planet .
We have a francophile part because the 4 of Pancho's grandparents were born in France and married in Mexico . With some friends, we spontaneously create an amateur theater group ten years ago, " La Compagnie de Théâtre a la Dérive ", where we enjoy making plays in French just for the pleasure of the whole process, costumes, learning the script and friendship. The group is composed mainly by frenchies living in México.
Today what bring us here is that ten years ago, on a sabathical year, we lived in a "Chateau" in France countryside, and we opened 11 rooms to host our beloved... more than a hundred friends and family members came to visit and stayed with us in that 12th century castle .
The uniqueness of this experience led us to replicate the model in Mexico, and we open our home with a project: Art Residence to share it with you, people with similar interests, that want to enjoy living among art in the village of San Angel, town founded 500 years ago and today immersed in one of the largest and most exciting cities in the world: Mexico City. Welcome !

In our country we say to our guests: "Mi casa es tu casa. My home is your home".
