Great location to access the area's activities. Clean and comfortable. Very helpful staff. The gardens make it feel like paradise. There is nothing negative I can say about this place. The only drawback is something that is completely out of the hotel's control. There is a lot of noise in the surrounding neighborhood. However, I don't think you can escape the nightly noise in the area. Therefore, I strongly recommend a stay at Chillies. It's a great value.

This was a charming place to stay and an excellent value! The grounds are beautiful and the location is outstanding. I was very happy with every aspect of this booking. Mish was accommodating when my travel plans were delayed by a day, and I felt welcome for the entire stay.

I really liked the place. It's quiet but you're close to the beach where there is always going something on. Bookshop, restaurants, supermarket nearby. The girl at the reception was very friendly and helped me a lot! Michele always texted me back when I had some questions before i came to West End. This was very helpful.

Michele and the folks at Chillies are lovely people. The garden where my cabin was is absolutely gorgeous and intoxicating, overflowing with tropical plants. I enjoyed the peaceful setting a lot. I only stayed here one night out of my three, as I didn't particularly enjoy being in West End. For many tourists and locals, it may be ideal but for me it was too busy with people and tourist consumerism. I quite liked other parts of the island better, but that's not to say Chillies location within West End is not ideal for those wanting to be around the happening area! Plus retreating to the garden cabins is lovely. The beach across the street is breathtakingly beautiful in the blue hues of the ocean underneath the palm trees looking out across Half Moon Bay and mind blowing sunsets. Decent snorkeling within a short walk but watch the boat traffic here. Chillies has all you need for amenities: resort wear and gifts for sale, a restaurant with smoothies and cooked food, and the dive shop. Thanks, Chillies! I enjoyed your space.

Response from Michele:
Thank you for your lovely review. That's a good idea about the wifi passwords. I don't want to put them outside the office so non-guests can access it but inside the rooms is a great idea. So glad you enjoyed your stay.

The cabana we stayed in was a the rear of the property and had beautiful garden areas throughout. It does get very hot and the ocean breeze doesn't quite reach it, but a fan was provided. We loved the little food stand on the property and the easy access to purchasing bottled water to keep in the kitchen in our cabana. The location was ideal. It's near lots of restaurants and we enjoyed all the food places. They were affordable and authentic. Luckily, we were far enough away from the big resorts that we didn't have to deal with the cruise ship tourists. We did prefer the beaches in West Bay, but that was only a $3 USD water taxi ride away. The hostel had warm and friendly staff and guests in an ideal location with great prices. Highly recommend if you are ok with just the basics and no a/c.

This was exactly what I was looking for. The location was perfect. The private cabin was great. It was quiet at night and being in the garden meant there was a lovely breeze. I didn't make use of the shared kitchen as much as I thought I would (on vacation!), but it was really nice to know I had the option. All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone. Everyone was super friendly, welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Great place to stay! We rented both rooms in a back cabin with our two kids, 14 and 3. It was perfect. The beds were fine, the hammock comfortable and the fridge works. The cleaning each day was a luxury we appreciated. The ease to the beach and the excellent diving school and the good and cheap breakfasts and smoothies meant we had no difficulties or decisions until dinner time-- where to eat (Carole's rotisserie chicken is the answer). Our eldest son is mildly autistic and the dice school was perfect with him. Mish and her family and staff were also welcoming and did a lot of concierge work for us-- finding us great babysitters and Spanish tutors.

I am originally from England but have lived in Roatan for 20 years. I have travelled the world but settled here and have 2 kids and live with a lovely local islander. I love my garden, diving, reading, keeping fit and my family.
