About this listing

Searching for a romantic, cosy destination that's off the beaten track? We are on the edge of a wooded valley in the heart of the glorious North Cornish countryside, two miles from the clifftops, and picturesque surfing beach of Crackington Haven.

The space

Trewarden lies on the side of a tranquil, wooded valley just under two miles from the beach. Only a quarter of a mile from Crackington Village Stores and Post Office which provides everything you need for your stay. There is a double bedroom with a luxurious super-king sized bed, and en suite bathroom with underfloor heating, and shower. The sitting room has a comfy leather sofa and cosy gas log fire. There is state of the art fibre-optic Wi-Fi Broadband , a radio, iPod jack, CD/DVD player and Free Sat TV, to entertain you after the invigorating cliff top walks and surfing opportunities for which the neighbourhood is so famous. For dog owners there are two fields surrounded by woods for them to roam freely, as well as the network of National Trust footpaths that criss-cross the area between Crackington to Boscastle - now famous on account of the massive flood.

There is a small kitchen comprising an electric cooker, with grill and oven, kettle, microwave, toaster, blender, and a capacious fridge so you can do your shopping in one go.

Guest access

Guests have access to their own private decking and can wander through the garden up to the fields where a dog can take exercise.

Interaction with guests

Interaction with guests is as much as is desired by guests. Some guests like to be entirely private and others to have more interaction.

Other things to note

Guests in the guest cottage can control the thermostat on the heating (which is included in the price), unlike some other holiday accommodation.

We are so relaxed after our 3 night, weekend stay at Annabel's that we don't want to go back to work! A lovely guest cottage in a secluded, quiet location yet only a 10 minute walk to the village store and a 30 minute (steep downhill) walk to the local pub and beach. We loved it. A perfect location for a complete 'get away'. Homemade scones and fresh flowers welcomed us on our arrival. The food at the local pub is excellent, booking advised as it was very busy on the Sunday lunchtime that we were there. Beautiful surfing beach, although it was cold and wet weather during our stay, so we didn't get in the sea. The super kingsize bed was so comfortable, the best we have slept for ages. Thank you Annabel and Tiki, we may see you again.

We had a fabulous time at Annabel's gorgeous cottage, tucked away in the leafy valley a short distance from the coast. After being let down by BA and unable to fly to Nice due to the IT failure we booked a last minute break to Annabel's and had a superb time. The cottage was amazing - cozy and well appointed in an super location. We slept so well in the massive bed and spent the days walking along the coastal path looking at the fabulous scenery. All too quickly our 3 days went - we would love to return soon.

A lovely cottage secluded from the world with everything you could possibly need! Easy to find thanks to Annabel's directions and a good base to explore tintagel, boscastle, padstow and port issac from. Hope to visit again in the future!

Had such a wonderful stay. The house was the perfect size, kept in such a nice condition and well equipped. The location was gorgeous, very peaceful and quiet, perfect to get away from any cities. Extremely close to beautiful beaches and a waterfall. Definitely recommend staying here!

I am a part-time photographer, living in Cornwall but also from London. I love landscape and portrait photography and like living near the rugged North Cornish coastline where there are so many photographic opportunities.
