The stay at Kenneth's downtown room was very enjoyable. The location was very close to Beale Street and other downtown locations, including the FedEx Arena and AutoZone Park. He was very friendly, and it was a warm welcome. The room was extremely clean with a convenient, personal bathroom. I definitely recommend this room for anyone coming to the downtown Memphis area!

When I arrived, my host had the door unlocked and a set of keys waiting for me. I loved the inside of the house, very artsy and the bed was very comfortable. I had my own bedroom (bed was nice and comfortable) and bathroom. I didn't use the laundry room but i believe I had access. I was also allowed to retrieve water and lemonade if i became thirsty. He also had WiFi which i appreciated! I forgot my charger at my last airbnb, Kenneth offered to drive me to Walgreen to pick up a new charger. After Walgreen's he proceeded to give a mini tour and point out various landmarks in Memphis. In addition i needed my ticket printed out for the grey hound and he printed out as well. Kenneth went above and beyond of what a host is supposed to be. Thank you so much, I really appreciated the welcome to Memphis as it was my first time visiting!

Kenneth's apartment was just as described, and he was a terrific host. The location is fantastic for those visiting Memphis and very centrally located.

This was a great place to stay! Very nicely furnished and comfortable. Kenneth was very prompt in his responses to my questions and made it easy to get in and out as needed. We had a great time in Memphis for the Beale St. Music Festival and would recommend this room.

The description of the townhouse as described in the ad was pretty true to form. It is very homey and has an awesome flair to it. You can definitely see that Kenneth has added his own unique style in the decor and abstract paintings that deck the walls. In addition, it was great to have our own bathroom which was located on the same floor as the guest room. Both weer clean when we arrived. The home is about a 10-15 minute walk to downtown Memphis (i.e. Beale Street). It is also conveniently located about a near a bus stop. While buses don't run as frequently (about every hour), the daily pass is only $3.50. My boyfriend and I were able to head to the Memphis Zoo (see one of the few pandas in the states) and Graceland on public transportation. These sites are pretty far from the townhome if you don't have a car. The townhome is an a gated community, but the adjacent neighborhood does not have very many street lights. I would not recommend walking from the home to downtown at night. Kenneth was flexible with our arrival time, and he even left work to let us in. However, there was a lack of communication on his part, as we never saw him after that first day. He confirmed that we could leave our bags at his place, however, he never discussed when the room needed to be vacated. In addition, he was supposed to meet us to check out but had someone else come instead. All in all, this is a great listing but Kenneth can definitely work on communicating better!
