The best location you'll find near Glenelg - away from the noise and traffic, yet within very close walking distance. With two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen, you'll have all the conveniences you need for a great holiday! A fantastic location, one block away from the tramline! Malcolm Street is a beautiful, quiet street, but you're only 400m from Jetty Rd Glenelg shops, cafes, restaurants and attractions, free tram to beach, tram to city, Adelaide Oval and Entertainment Centre.
Once up the stairs, the apartment opens up to a living / dining area which is air-conditioned/heated and connects to the kitchen/laundry space.
The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped with an oven and gas cooktop, plenty of bench space, pantry, microwave and a dishwasher. Cook up a storm or stroll down to Jetty Road for meals.
Both bedrooms have a queen sized bed, TV/DVD player, wardrobe, drawers and air conditioning/heating. Bedroom one is around the corner from the living areas while bedroom two is adjacent the kitchen. At the end of the hall, there is an area we call the 'nook'. It has a bunk bed with two single mattresses, just outside the door to bedroom 1, perfect for keeping an ear out for children.
Please note that a booking for 2 adults will include linen for 1 queen bed. A booking that includes a child/children will include linen for the single bed/s. Please inform us when booking if you wish to use the beds differently, or have a preference for which room you would like. Additional bed linen to that included with the booking will incur an additional $12 cleaning fee per bed. Alternatively you can bring your own sheet, top sheet, pillow case and quilt cover/blanket.
The laundry has a washing machine and drying racks. The bathroom contains a toilet, shower and vanity.
We are child friendly and a stair gate, cot and highchair can be provided if required.
There are games, dvds, books and children's toys, but the best thing is the beach and Glenelg attractions nearby.
The apartment is fully self contained. There is no garden access.
Interaction with guests
We can be contacted by phone if help is required for your stay. You will have the entire apartment to yourselves. We will enter the foyer if you need us to collect rubbish for you.
Other things to note
This is a second story apartment above the garage of our family home. You have your own separate entrance off the side road, so you will not see us unless we bump into each other while walking down to Jetty Road ;)
The neighbourhood is generally very quiet day and night. You'll probably hear our children playing in the backyard.
The neighbourhood has nearby residents who are elderly so it would be appreciated if noise was kept to a minimum, particularly in the evenings.
The apartment is not serviced and while the property will be cleaned after your departure please keep it neat and tidy during your stay as further cleaning will incur an additional cost. This is charged at the owner's discretion and includes but is not limited to: oven, fridge, microwave, damaged linen.
Noise: As per the council regulations noise must be kept to a minimum. If there is a disturbance the police may be notified.
Damage: If any part of the property is damaged, including furnishing, guests are liable for these costs and will be billed accordingly.
Owner Waiver: No responsibility is taken for guests personal property. Please insure your valuables as appropriate.
Cleaning: This is a self-contained holiday apartment and it is the responsibility of the guest to maintain general tidiness including rubbish and dishes. If the apartment requires additional cleaning upon your departure an additional fee will apply.
