Hi, John, Thanks for staying with us! We enjoyed having you and Anne. I was sorry to hear that your original Airbnb didn't work out, and glad that we could provide a back-up for you on short notice. I know that a shared space is different than a typical hotel, and it does take some getting used to! We love sharing our space with guests and have enjoyed cooking or eating meals together with many of our guests. I appreciate your feedback about the table lamp - I'll be sure to put a second lamp in there. We haven't heard that this was a problem for anyone before. I will also consider adding a mirror to the bedroom in addition to the large one in the bathroom. If you do use Airbnb again, it's a good idea to look closely at the list of amenities because it does clearly list what is included in each listing. That way you'll know if a TV is included, for example. I wanted to let you know that the reason we keep the coffee and tea-making facilities for guests in the kitchen is that we don't want to encourage eating or drinking in the bedrooms because of the carpets and because we like to keep our place bug-free. :) This is especially important in a warm climate where we often have windows open to enjoy the ocean breeze! We have had guests of all ages stay with us, and we welcome everyone who is excited about the opportunity to get to know locals and enjoy the experience Airbnb-style. All the best in your travels!
