Most of our bookings are for 1 or 2 weeks starting and finishing on a Saturday. This is particularly the case from 20th July to 7th September 2019. At other times shorter stays are possible when not in school holidays.

We give you a code for the keysafe. That way you have immediate access and one of team will catch up with you later if not there to greet you. We try very hard to give you the best quality experience and a team of us are on hand to help you. It doesn't matter what the question or even the odd accident we are on hand. Call us, email or text but just tell us.

As you can see we have lovely views as the house is on a hill, walking into town takes 10 minutes and the return maybe longer ! So sometimes a car is useful for getting out and about. Edens Horizon is a beautiful spotlessly clean and spacious house with a large garden. It is loved by families including 3 generations of our family. I am a Barts nurse with strong Cornish connections and proud of it. I was born at Edens Horizon and left Cornwall to train in London but always made time to go back to Cornwall. My jobs have taken me all over the UK including Cornwall. I stopped being a nurse practitoner 5 years ago and live in Henley on Thames with my Barts GP husband, now medical IT consultant and rowing commentator. We have 3 lovely grown up daughters all born in the West Country, one being married from Edens Horizon 4 years ago. I love gardening and am a volunteer gardener at Greys Court a local National Trust property. I recently did the full Moonwalk in aid of breast cancer and have done lots of marathons and fund raising over the years with and without my girls and Robert my husband. I am an Abba, Queen and Pink Floyd fan and love musical theatre. I manage the enquiries bookings and usually welcome guests to this lovely family friendly house in St Austell Cornwall. I am very enthusastic about Cornwall and this house where l was born in particular. I love to give guests loads of information about the area and ensure that everyone has the best possible time. We love reading so the bookcases are bulging with books games and puzzles which we are happy to share . We also enjoy long beach walks and visiting pubs plus National Trust properties nearby.

My name is Kate. l own and manage Edens Horizon where l grew up. l am on hand from the initial enquiry through your arrival, stay and departure from Edens Horizon.
l am a mine of information so ask me loads of questions !

l will be there if you arrive at 4pm but you will have a keysafe code for immediate access to keys if you are delayed. I give you the code prior to your arrival by text so please make sure you have told me your mobile that you take to Cornwall so we keep in touch.

l will show you where everything is, the controls for the heating and hot water if you don't want it on automatic, and will point out all the things to make your stay comfortable and relaxing

We would encourage a minimum stay in high season of 7 days with an ideal stay of 14 nights because there is so much to do.
Out of the busy season we can offer 3 day breaks for guests who can't get away for longer.
There is a garage for storage and room for 3 cars on our steep drive, with parking available on the roadside (cul de sac)
We pride ourselves in offering an individual service and excellent phone/email response to every query or request and concierge services available on request. I have known the house and area all my life and happily share my local knowledge and Cornish enthusiasm with all our lovely guests.
For instance if you buy your Eden Project ( 18 mins drive away) tickets on line you not only save money but you get priority entry, jumping the at times busy queues. That is of course when you are not visiting the 11 beaches and Charlestown harbour (of Poldark fame) in St Austell Bay.
I hope you have a really lovely time.
Best wishes from Kate.
