Nice place. Clean and quiet. Will stay there again if our hikes bring us back to the area. Loved the one night rental!

This is such a cozy and inviting place with incredibly easy access. We were 19 mi from Salida and it's a super easy drive especially in the summer. This is a perfect set up for a couple, a family, or mulitple families. It's situated such that you can have some privacy and separation if needed. We had anything and everything you could need in a home- it is set up for a full Thanksgiving or holiday meal, the washer and dryer were full sized and handy, there were two showers and toilets and tons of places for people to sleep. The game collection and magazines were so thoughtful, along with the toys for kids. We were there over July 4, so we didn't use the wood stove, but I can imagine it's a real treat in the winter. The views are lovely as the sun comes up through the southeastern facing window wall. There is hiking right outside the door, plenty of storage for your skis, a full and simple kitchen with a huge coffee pot :) The decor made me feel nostalgic- I loved the bathroom that was decorated with old lift tickets from Monarch and Vail with old 80's pinups of girls in skis- it was super cool. Read the instructions hanging on the key hook when you come in the front door and enjoy your chalet experience here. We can't wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay. The house really doesnt have enough beds for more than 6 adults, but it has great features like the sauna and wood stove. The second shower was out of order during our stay which made the whole group have to jockey for one shower in the morning, but we made it work.

This place was perfect for our weekend stay. We wanted to get out of Denver for the weekend and ski at Monarch. It is a great space to socialize with friends in the main room and there's a big table for group dinners. It has a rustic cabin feel that fits with the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend it to others.

This house is not meant for small children. The stairs are very steep and not to code at all. There is a broken indoor hot tub with a very flimsy top on it. There are also electrical wires taped with duck tape. The house is close proximity to the ski area, and can sleep 8-9 comfortably. The sauna does work, but is much smaller than the pictures as is the house in general.

Response from Elizabeth:
Though there are gates at the top of both stairways, we agree that there are some hazards for small children, including a wood stove. The hot tub is being replaced with a foosball table, and the taped electrical wires aren't live. The house is 2000 square feet.
